As a Student and employee at the U I am ashamed that the U of M is failing to live up to this mission of “building a healthier state and planet … here there and everywhere” by investing our endowment in weapons manufactures who commit and facilitate war crimes around the world. Why can’t we make the goal of improving our world apply to the people of Gaza, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and countless other people (including students, staff, and faculty who have been personally affected) who are being killed by these weapons? Let’s reinvest the endowment into places that better align with the goals shared in this video.
