Great TEAM. You guys worked well together. Liked that you had how a ski feels, handles and the construction of the ski, very cool.

Emily is completely right about graphics - marketing plays a hug role !

Totally. It must. There are so many good skis that sit on shelves in shops and don't move. I can't help but think if you just put a colorful sheet on the ski it'd sell.

Well done and good footage when available. Funny, the ladies ski bases are not as cool as many of the mens same counterparts, but some of their top sheets are more interesting (have to admit not super concerned about either, its all about how it feels and performance). Marketing must have had a hand in the decision process.

Hey guys! I am looking for skis for my girlfriend. She's 172 cm & 61 kg of body muscles ;). She's definitely an advanced skier, progressing from groomers to a more playful and off-piste directed type of skiing. She spends let's say 60 % on the slope and 40 off piste. We also want to put shift bindings on the skis to be able to go touring on them. Her priority is definitely not the carving with full speed - I'd say that she should go for something a bit more playful and versatile. I think that ~170cm skis with 90-92 mm underfoot would be a good choice for her. I recently bought BC camox 180 (97mm underfoot) for myself and I guess that something similar (scaled down to her weight) could be a good choice for her. That's why I guess the 90-92 underfoot would work similar for her as my camox work for me. After watching your videos we're facing towards salomon qst 92 lux 168cm. I am wondering if this length is gonna work for her though... Can you suggest which models she should focus on? Thanks a lot!

Love the QST 92--it's a great ski and that size does make sense. You could also look at the Black Crows Captis Birdie--basically a narrower version of the Camox--very fun and engaging ski. The Fischer Ranger 90 is also worth a look, but that's not as playful as the other two.

Hi. Love this video. I am looking for a skis for my girlfriend. She spends most of the time on-piste skiing so i am looking for all-mountain skis with really good on-piste performance. I love the Nordica Santa Ana but in your video it looks like the better choice would be the last two - Stockli and Volkl. Or do you think Nordica will be great option too? Or maybe something else?
@SkiEssentials9 ай бұрын
Three great options! The Stockli is the smoothest and easiest to turn of the three while the Volkl is likely the more demanding. The Santa Ana sits right in the middle with a bit lighter weight than the Volkl but still a good amount of metal for dampness and power. I think the Nordica makes great sense for this application, but the Stockli's a special ski that is so incredibly quiet and smooth, it's tough to overlook.

Which Would you say is the better bump ski...stance 84w or Relaince 82c? I wasn't sure where i should ask this question....thx! I own 84w. But would like to go narrower. And little shorter than my current 84w's. This is my dedicated bump ski basically... Unfortunately sooth ski doesn't have the 82c listed. I'm not sure which one has more rocker amd camber. According to sooth ski, 84w is about 70-100g lighter though

First, I think the Stance 84 is an amazing bump ski. The carbon of the Reliance does make them pretty stiff. The Armada has a lot of camber and very little rocker. What about the Stance 80? Same build as the 84 (with more cap) but narrower?
@carterfan8013 күн бұрын
@SkiEssentials I think that's a great suggestion. I just wasn't sure if it was worth trading one stance for another. You confirmed my suspicions about the 82c. I figured it was very similar to the 88 C which is a little bit heavier and stiffer then probably most people would expect based on the name and positioning within armada lineup. I think I'll keep my 84s Unless I can come across a steal on the 80. Plus it leaves money in my budget to get what I really want. MX 74 s. I sold them a few years ago and I've regretted it ever since. I've been chasing the dragon for the feel of those turns since I sold them!

On the Rossi Rallybird and Sender topsheets not standing out I see now they have special edition skis designed by their FWT athletes that are very eyecatching!.

Intermediate female skier lightweight, ski mostly eastcost occasionally in the west should I go with Mindbinder90c or stance84

I personally prefer the K2 for this application, and we have some sweet deals on that ski and bindings right now! The Stance is great but the K2 is just a bit wider for those times when you encounter softer and deeper snow. www.skiessentials.com/products/2024-k2-mindbender-90c-women-s-ski-w-tyrolia-attack-11-binding?ski%2520size=148

Where does the fischer ranger fit in here? The one thats offered in pink and navy. Surprised its not in here or other videos

You're 100% correct--this one gets left out a whole lot. Looks like a fantastic low-90's all-mountain twin tip to me! Poplar wood core, nice camber underfoot, and a relatable weight--all indicative of something that should be more popular.
