I know that Akro says “no tune needed” baffle in, no intake changes you will still lose a bit of power with no tune. What’s crazy to me is how committed you are to the no tune, when that specific exhaust gives you the most power gain of all systems in that range. It’s only a mere $300 and 5 days of sending your ECU to 2WDW. You do you, but your bike is running lean and there is probably a specific video on the 2wdw KZbin page saying as such! 2022 with same exhaust, snorkel delete, and 2wdw flash! You are missing out!

The dyno numbers I’ve seen show a slight improvement with the Akro no tune.

@@Paramoto959 fair point… curious where your dyno numbers claiming more power come from? And are those higher based on their own before and after? I only ask because I own this bike and setup and “none” of my research that I did in making my decision corroborate’s your claim.

afr is way more important than anything you mention in the video, and its like your saying akro is in a special world that defies air/fuel lol. not how it works man. glad your happy, but i hope you save up for a tune, so you can actually see how much better it will be. smoother, runs cooler, easier to ride, faster. i was very impressed with my mail tune from 2wdw. mailed out my ecu on monday, got it back on thursday.. waited for a sale and got it for $220.

Akro kinda is in a special world compared to the other exhausts made for this bike. It’s at least made for the bike enough where you don’t have to immediately go get it tuned.

I have a icon variant just like yours. Bought the first gen. When it first came out. Thing was matte black. Now it's matte black and sticky! I've got it most cleaned up. But looking to get a mt07. I've had a drz400sm, 98 vmax, and a rc51. Love the sound of the mt07. Reminds me of the rc. Great sound! ATM have a 2019 grom... just trying to be economical, and not give my wife a heart attack. 😅

I don’t see a reason why you would need to tune it after installing and after market exhaust. Especially on fuel injected system. I see that the MT-07 has an 02 sensor. The ECM reads the signal from the 02 sensor and adjust fuel depending on the reading. At least that’s how it works in automotive, I would think it’s the same on a motorcycle.

As you will see in my profile pic i basically have the exact same bike as you ( 2023) I have a Black Widow full system on mine and fantastic value at just over £300 sterling ….. amazing sound on an amazing mid range cc bike… Oh and im from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏼🤟🏼

@@Paramoto959 Gospel truth : Yeah it really is a class act , my mate Ross has an Akra on his 2021 MT09 , it was around £1.300 if i remember but when he heard the Black Widow on my MT07 he was absolutely gob-smacked at the sound …. and thats with baffle in …. youtube their products and have a listen yourself as they are available in the US …. great value and a fantastic product

@@GTC123.that’s because the MT07 has a better exhaust sound than the MT09 triple no matter what pipe is on it! But you are not wrong, for the money that black widow off eBay is a great sound. Fit and finish isn’t quite as good, but for half price you can make some sacrifices!

I have a Graves titanium system on my bike and the sound is identical to that system. Can’t wait to get a 2wdw tune. I would highly recommend you doing the same. Just do it lol

There is this KZbin channel called JP Performance and they showed many times what changing an exhaust does, testing it on a dyno. And without a tune the car might feel faster because of the different sound, but it's almost always a power loss with no tune.
