2024 Yamaha R3 India First Ride Review | Exhaust Sound | Unscripted

hi guys, here's the much awaited review of the Yamaha R3 which was finally launched this past weekend at BIC, Greater Noida, India. This review comes straight from the Media Ride event where I share a quick overview of what the bike has on offer and also share my first ride impression as to whether it manages to keep up with our expectations despite carrying a hefty price tag.

Hardcore R3 fan! Owned it from 2016 for 5 years. Most user-friendly and touring capable in the segment. Going again for the new R3 doesn't make sense, but still, I wanted to. I expected a price of 3.99L to revive the memories. But for now, RS 457 makes so much more sense or save a lot more money and get something substantial.

Bro I accept that the bike is raw.but you will not feel the surge of power or excitement when you accelerate.power is equally spread across the rev range.If somebody has ridden Duke 390 or even rr310.He will find this bike to be really boring.sad but true.Even for a price tag of 5 lac rupees the 42hp and 29nm torque is really low.

These 3 Big Japanese are badly disappointing the Indian market!! They have been stuck with their 1-2 commuter two-wheelers for years! they haven't realised that the Indian automobile market is going through premiumization, people are going for bigger n premium bikes..Bikes aren't just a mode of commute in the Indian market like it used to be 20-30 years back! The 2023 Yamaha R3 has slipper Clutch but the one being sold India doesn't. Moreover these are CBU units. This means that these units are the unsold old international units that Yamaha wants to get rid of by selling in India. Parallel Twins under 400cc always were and still continue to be a Gimmick! go for singles, save heaps of cash, enjoy more torque, and lastly (this is where young people fall for completely false information from wannabe "GURU automotive journalists" a better overall exhaust note. Yup. don't trust them, trust your ears. a low displacement (under 400cc) parallel twin engine sounds completely dogshit. whether if it's a 90 degree crankshaft (tractor like exhaust note) 180 degree (sounds like muffled Laksmi bomb ngl) 360 degree (sounds like a garbage truck) 270 degree (decent but doesn't have the bass of a single) Hope this helps!

Dino bhai. Really had to ask one question. Why Yamaha is not interested in India. Why can't they manufacture their bigger capacity motorcycles in India. Atleast why can't they make a big capacity single in the 400 - 450 cc segment with very high performance and premium components. What about MT 07, MT 09, R7. Atleast they can do CKD for India. Why is there no manufacturing of big capacity motorcycles in India. Is it due to lack of engineering skills or is it due QC issues of components manufactured in India or are the Indian riders still immature or is it due to the very high taxes imposed by government and very high furl prices. Expecting to know the reason.

To survive and compete in this segment with others Yamaha need to bring it via ckd soon and then later manufacture in india. It will be cheaper than aprillia if they decide to make it here. Can’t buy it at this price point, ll cancel the 8 months old booking. Booked rs 457 today. Ll buy if the ride quality and feel is awesome, else ll have to wait for r3 to come as ckd or would rather go with a used ninja 400
