I've watched about a dozen reviews on this bike. Yours has concentrated on riding it and so I found it the best. All the others concentrated on the tech above actually what an experience it is to ride. Nice to know I can take a slow bend in top and zoom out of it! Thanks.

Good to see you having some fun riding the Tracer 900GT+ , it is a good looking machine with some impressive tech( most of which I probably wouldn't use) however I do wish Yamaha would be more adventurous with the colours , gunmetal grey is just boring in the extreme.

Hi Richy, pretty new to your videos, first heard about you on Teapotone’s podcast, then watched your Morocco videos - really enjoyed those btw 👍. The multistrada has radar cruise control also. It's really good for motorways and dual carriageways, and has radar at reat so has blind spot detection

The auto braking would make me nervous on compromised road conditions. Gravel, dirt, wet, etc. What do you think?

No, like I mentioned, I didn’t feel any intervention at all.

Always liked the look of the bike but not the two TFT version that single screen is much better. I have the BMW Active Cruise Control and besides the usual thing with the car in front of you lean into a corner the cruise slows you down then speeds up again as you straighten up.

Got my GT plus in October. It’s currently sitting in my garage collecting dust with only 450 miles on the clock. Only parked up whilst I rebuild the strength in my leg that I managed to break. As soon as I’m fit enough I will be out. It’s killing me seeing it just sitting there.

How does the hi tech braking system know the road conditions ? Would it apply or override what you were doing on ice or slippery surface ?

Not a fan of the tech at all. Rode a lot of modern new bikes with various systems and left me feeling cold and detached from the riding experience. I think manufacturers are really missing a trick by not offering old style bikes with analogue dials and just ABS (as it's a legal requirement) would be a ot cheaper also for people to buy. These modern bikes have become way to expensive also and not obtainable for most folk.

Had mine a month ,2000 miles already , can't stay off it !!! not perfect, with all the tech no hill hold and seat is angled forward pushing your bits against the tank.. Got the seat flattened out and a Gel pad by Di at Chaos Customs in Swansea 500 miles in 2 days perfect now!!!65 MPG average so far but gauge is rubbish, shows full for about 125 miles then goes to half the reserve at 150 miles but when you fill it up it only takes 14 ltrs which means theres a gallon left!!!! but I forgive it that🥰

I've got the T9GT. Great engine, the sound is very addictive, good handling, very poor windscreen. Very poor finish, thin paint on the wheels in particular. After one winter (regular washing and ACF50) parts of the frame were going rusty, the shock was a mess and anodised parts showed corrosion. I probably won't buy another Yamaha but even if I was going to I would buy the GT over the GT+, way overpriced.
@dreamcrusher1125 ай бұрын
windscreen bad but a puig and an extender and it is great. Mine has 25k miles and 6yrs old, only rust is the brake disc bobbins. Too much salt where you are?
@MGman1005 ай бұрын
@dreamcrusher112 I use an MRA spoiler on my screen. At least there's no buffeting now. Salt on the roads in winter but my five year old Street Triple still looked like new.

Not sure why you would ever trust a petrol gauge on any motorcycle after that time you ran out of petrol in France ! I’ve never had a petrol gauge on a motorcycle and I’ve never run of gas. I have though run out of petrol in a car ! 🇬🇧

While I generally love nany tech on motorcycles for their amazing abilities to save lives especially of less experienced riders there IS one glaring issue! You have riders reared on such tech who absolutely do not possess the skill set to safely operate anything old school. So now what will happen after they become supremly confident riders of tech loaded models when they suddenly for whatever reason find themselves hauling buns on an old school bike?? IF for example a motorcycle ends up equiped with idiot proof ecu modulated braking where a rider can simply stomp or squeeze EITHER the foot pedal and/OR the right lever where it would make no difference? Such an advanced model's brain reliably able every single time to without question apply the bikes stoppers together perfectly as well or even better than expert riders? But for whatever reason suddenly that reverts to manual or they elect to try riding an old school machine? One totally manually operated and then e/she needs desperately to brake hard in order to make a corner or so an emergency stop? I'm thinking they are in for the terrifying surprise of their LIFE! And perhaps the END of said life! Can you imagine?
@RichyVidaАй бұрын
Yes there’s a lot to be said for today’s tech, and level of skill out there. I know someone who constantly rides *over* the limit and simply says “the TC will do its job”… Nope, not for me. I still don’t like to see the TC light coming on, as it means it’s had to “help”. Should call it the “Talent Control” light!
