Hi warro, Thinking about buying a new xmax. What’s the difference between the standard Xmax and the V2 version?
@ridewithwarroКүн бұрын
from what i can see only the colour as this is a v2.

These are amazing bikes and shockingly powerful for being a 1 cyl engine.

that they are. in fact, much quicker than my classic 350 or gb350 which would depress those owners. you know -being bowled over by a scooter.

I am thinking of buying one brand new Does the AUS$10.250 you paid included 1 year registration and the bike on your name ?
@ridewithwarro8 күн бұрын
ride away price is $10250 in your name no more tp pay with 12 months rego.plus i'd say if you buy now you could probably score a small discount as the year is almost shot

Great Commuters & real fun to blat around town on & trips to the shop & have great luggage space.
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
they have and can hit 100 kph with not much effort too. was out again on it today. now done 350 and fuel consumption shows 2.8 litres per 100 klm

Great birthday present there Warro! Goes great but looking forward to your review of the Chinese bike 😎
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
yeah it was a hard choice there where to go. new enfields had lots of issues. 650 classic -too heavy - bear 650 really bad hard suspension. same too with the others might as well throw the $10k at the chinese take-away and put it against the vstrom 250 sx. only real issue i see is moving 6 bikes about to get one out for a ride. although from what ive watch the cfmoto 450 is only the same weight as the classic 350

Warro, nice ride review. Thanks for the realistic commentary bout the bike. I have the 2023 model and love the bike. Very smooth ride with precise power delivery. I did upgrade to a GIVI windscreen which transformed the wind profile beyond expectations. Highly recommend the upgrade; less than $200 USD. Look forward to more excellent content. Cheers!
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
Yeah, the wind protection does seem to be a weak point on this bike. but saying that yesterday i pulled the screen to put it to the higher point but decided to run it without. i actually didn't mind that side either. good info on the givi upgrade too. all the best!

I found my suspension quite harsh on my 2022 X Max initially, but it seems to have improved after a few thousand miles...thank goodness.....it is quite "sporty" though and I found that by trailing the back brake a little, I can get around corners pretty sharpish...
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
speaking of suspension today i dropped my rear shocks to the softest setting. prior to that they were dialed in from the factory mid way on say marker 3. i found that move alone improved the ride quality quite a bit too

Hi Warro nice looking scooter does this new one have that stupid warning msg come up on the screen you have to clear before starting the bike? I know it's only a small thing but it frustrated the hell out of me after a while having to clear that msg everytime I turned mine on I could never find a way to disable or get rid of it. Love your work mate you need a new channel name though it should be just running her in with Warro 😂
@ridewithwarro25 күн бұрын
yeah that's the one...lol your right every time it's turned on one has to delete the message. apart from that side the bike or should i say scooter runs pretty good
@green_genie25 күн бұрын
@@ridewithwarro Damn I wish they had of got rid of that on the new one. It won't bother everyone but I was using mine as my primary transport. I was on and off it all day lots of short trips, stopping and starting and that msg really got to me in the end. I ended up cursing the Yamaha engineer who came up with that idea everytime I started it haha.
@ridewithwarro25 күн бұрын
@@green_genie yeah under those circumstances i can see that the warning message could be a problem.

@@green_genie That clear error message sounds like a real pain. It would annoy me. Thanks for pointing it out. 👍

G'day Warro you love those Scooters mate, hope it goes well and it's reliable, one good thing it would be light to pick up if you put it on its side, cheers mate, Neil 🤠. PS ride safe mate.
@ridewithwarro25 күн бұрын
the centre of gravity is good on the scooters so pretty easy to pick up if they fall over. i recall dropping the forza 350 and one of the xmax's too. the side stand was the issue on both. i parked the bike flicked out the stand got off bike moved foreward and fell over...lol that would be the worst issue with scooters without a parking brake
@chrisweeks697323 күн бұрын
With the screen raised I reckon it'd do you fine, Warro. By the way, do you often ride without gloves? Personally, I don't.
@ridewithwarro23 күн бұрын
on the glove side -yeah i sub titled it in this clip so say if im doing a video where i have to adjust or turn the camera on and off. virtually impossible to do with the gloves on. i was about to put the screen to its highest point then removed it completely. in fact i thought it wasn't too bad riding it naked...lol still at that stage now. scooter running well with 350 klm on clock and average fuel is 2.8 litres per 100 klm pretty good ride really. all the best!
@chrisweeks697323 күн бұрын
@@ridewithwarro Fair enough, Warro. Dunno about riding naked; I grew up in a place of very cold weather, with snow and ice during winter. Even riding in fully clothed in protective gear my extremities got to the point of zero feeling. Without clothing, bits would have dropped off! 🤣

I like this one but surprised to hear you sold the Vespa, I thought you liked it. Have you tried a PX200, the 2 stroke with gears. Much more fun.😂
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
i dont think one can buy new 2 stokes here or not that i am aware of. id try one that's for sure! the vespa was indeed a very good scooter but the 500 klm round trip to the dealer plus the fact it was more expensive to buy and i'd have to look after it better was more the deal breaker. on the xmax side i am just 2 miles away. all the best!
@splodge5724 күн бұрын
500 klm and I thought 10 miles to my dealer was bit of a stretch! You can only get the 2 stroke as a used bike now but worth it if you can pick up a good one at the right price.
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
@@splodge57 yeah that's why in most cases i just do the service myself. if it stuffs the warranty -that's how it goes...lol worst ive had to date was a sticky speedo on a 350 and himalayan and a sprag clutch go on a 500 all right from near pick up. so those covered by warranty. knew the dealer well so he just sent me the parts
@daintree245525 күн бұрын
Nice scooter maybe the screen on highest setting will work out Warro.
@ridewithwarro25 күн бұрын
Yeah, it's worth a try but after this run i was about to move it to the high position but pulled it totally for a more naked motorcycle feel. i think it actually felt better too compared to the turbulence i took on this 6 klm lap around town...lol surprised it was better to ride at 80 to 100 kph with screen off than with it on.
@dashamac25 күн бұрын
Sound was good, Warro. Umm, I reckon someone needs to come up with a manually operated cantilever-style screen lifter for use while riding; unless it would be too much distraction? Also, you said the Xmax handles the bumps 'okay', but how good is the ride comfort for the sciatica-challenged riders, ie: what's the back support like?
@ridewithwarro25 күн бұрын
i'd say no-where as good as a classic 350/500 on the ride quality but ok for a scooter. the previous scooter i had the vespa gts 300 ran bumps far better but also another $3000 more...lol so hard to win there. screen wise i pulled it after this run and went out again and i actually liked it better with none at all. that was trying it out up to 100 kph. doing so it felt just like riding any other motorcycle
@dashamac24 күн бұрын
@@ridewithwarro Yeah, I wondered how the seating would go. I had a cruiser I couldn't ride without fitting a rider back rest. The problem is I need the foot pegs directly inline with my "seat" to help with back support. But I really like the Xmax under seat storage. Doh!
@ridewithwarro24 күн бұрын
@@dashamac yeah even if you see a bad bump coming up in the road its a bit of an effort to pull yourself out of the seat to lessen the impact. in your case i'd say not for you but that would also depend upon how good the sealed roads are in your area. on good sealed roads i think it rides pretty well for what it is

@@farangdan i think this one will fill in a bit of time till the chinese takeaway arrives. ive clocked up a bit over 300 klm on it now. still on same tank of gas too. dealer filled it up for me. the other dealer usually gives me $10 to put some petrol in the bikes. much rather the full tank idea
