Congrats on the new job! Also, the 3dSets RC builds are awesome! their Landy model is actually what got me to finally get into 3d printing (and then addicted to it!) a few years ago. Now I am running out of room for all the printers and printed RC stuff!

Totally agree with the Magnetic-IDEX thinking, as this was my plan, and because I find the build volume too restrictive I was going to apply Dmitry’s thinking to one of my redundant 3D printers. It’s definitely worth building Dmitry’s upgrades, as it definitely performs very well in his videos, runs Klipper and definitely scalable.

As far as designing a hole printer for the IDEX, you could just design some mounting brackets to adapt it to something like your simple core frame. Just a quick idea would be like some corner braces large enough to have the bolt pattern for MIDEX's parts.
