EVs are for those who don't wanna spend hundreds a month and thousands a year on engine needs just to drive 50-60km/h in a tight city. It's practical to run on electricity and new evs have a big range so now it ain't a problem. But for those who wanna drive fast on tracks or even autobahns, you may buy an internal combustion engine. That's a different purpose then. You get my point, I hope, if you have a child to drive to school and back to home, ev will be enough for that and you won't waste much on fuel.
