What is the highway range? If I'm going from Seattle to San Francisco, I need to know my limitations.

Hello, I currently own several motorcycles, Bmw 1200 Gs, Harley fat boy, Honda 1300 st. I also have a Zero sr/f, I leave my home with a full charge which costs me 2.28 euros with a range of 200 km. I ride on a country road, at the authorized speed, and I recharge my motorcycle after 150 km of riding at a 22 kW terminal with a charging capacity of 12 KW in my motorcycle. My charging time at this terminal is 40 minutes, taking a little collaboration to recover 180 km and the sum of 2 euros. That's a day's ride and a 300 km journey for less than 5 euros of fuel. In good weather (I'm Belgian) I go out 2 to 3 times a week for this type of walk. With another of my motorcycles, each of my rides costs me + - 23 euros per day plus maintenance, oil, filters. Over a motorcycle season the difference is significant. My motorcycle is second-hand. I agree that new is still expensive, but I love this bike. Happy New Year to everyone and good luck ✌

The way I’m reading this is the old Zero S 11kw 14.4 battery is better top speed and range or did I miss something?

I'm amazed zero didn't learn from a few years ago that buying extra already fitted to the bike is ridiculous. Think I'll stick with energica

Why would I want to press and hold the mode switch before being able to change modes? It would be so much more convenient to just push it left or right.

I own a 2017 FXS and loved every moment of it. Unfortunately my mother had gotten sick, so I kept the FXS plugged in for a year while driving my mother around in her car until she sadly passed. When I went back to ride my FXS, what I had found, the onboard battery charger malfunctioned and the battery loss all voltage. Now I would love to get a new battery and onboard charger but where I bought it from no longer sells Zero. I love my Zero FXS. What can I do to get it back on the street again?

I agree, the charging speed is the main thing. My fz07 only gets 200 miles before needing more gas, but I can fill it quick so it's not an issue. If they could do 0 to 100% charge in 30 min and have 100 miles of highway (only) range, then I would say it's worth it.

Hi Rachael, where are you based? 2024 models have begun arriving at Zero dealerships across Europe and are expected to deliver late Q1 in North America.

@@zeromotorcycles Hi! I’m in Wichita, Kansas. I’m anxious to see the new S. I currently have a Honda Rebel 300, but I checked out the 2023 SR/S at the local dealer…I loved it, but it’s just too much bike for me.

Didn't they listen to customers and stop the subscription thing? I bought a used '22 SR/S and got the three unlock codes for my model for free from my dealership.

Let me know when you can go 250 miles on the highway going 80 mph. Until it can do that it's just not a practical vehicle in real life. My motorcycle can only go 150 miles at 80 but I can fill it back up in 5 minutes and go another 150. So electric bikes either need a lot more range or they need to recharge in 5 or 10 minutes. Electric bikes work good for commuting around town but if you want to get out of town and really go on a road trip somewhere they are terrible. And yet the cost is really high. Wake me up when electric motorcycle are actually a viable and genuine option for the real world for a person who wants to go somewhere other that just across town.

YoU hAvE a HoSt of CyPhER UPgrAdEs 🤓 The hardware can already do it. You did the hard part, now just let your loyal customers use the beautiful machines you created to their full extent. If you want to make the sr/s and sr/f more premium, make them more premium instead of making the s worse. The hell is wrong with you?

3Kw charging speeds are incredibly low. Focus on getting charging speeds up to 25Kw, minimum, and enjoying these motorcycles becomes A LOT less stressful. I'm looking forward to the day when charging from 20-80% is but a 15-minute event. Range isn't nearly as big a problem as recharging is.

What motorcycle that you can purchase today offers 25 kW charging? Keep in mind that Zero's upper level models can offer options to charge as fast as 12.6 kW. Considering that the previous version of the S had only 1350 watts of charging and was only level 1, the new 3 kW is a 100%+ upgrade. And in the USA, the previous version of the S had only a 7.2 kWh battery. So yet another 100% upgrade. And range is still a big problem if there aren't charging stations capable of 25 kW where you are traveling. The EV motorcycle riders currently doing round the world rides are mainly recharging on normal household power because of the lack of charging infrastructure.

@@j_k9643 that’s exactly the point. They should be working towards that goal instead of finding shady ways to make more money by offering half measures, at best. 25kw battery packs, 25kw charging speeds. Minimum.

Energica can DC fast charge up to 20kw, but they are very expensive. It would be better if Zero could gave all their bikes 7kw charging minimum. I believe adding DC fast charging adds a lot of weight to a bike.

@@wozza59 The premium models, SR/S, SR/F, DSR and DSR/X all have AC 6.6kW charging standard. Unfortunately for Energica and Livewire, the DC charging is hit or miss to find a working station in the SF Bay Area.

Zero Motorcycles are already expensive. I'm not going to pay extra to use hardware that is already on the bike. If I'm not using it, I want it removed.

So its a highway capable thing but only travels an average 25 mph. Then a guy is telling us about upgrade+++++? Just put all the upgrades into it then sell it. It's still an inadequate contender. 1oo miles then park for 4 hours to charge is just pathetic!

Hi Jack, the top speed on the S is 104mph, no need to average your speed at 25mph. The Zero is intentionally offered at a lower price point for more budget-conscious buyers, so those who like the look of the Zero S but would prefer to purchase the bike with all upgrades included can always opt for the Zero SR/F! @@zeromotorcyclesYes. After travelling at any speed we need to. the time travelling stops for he duration of topping the battery up. So I travel for one hour at 104 mph. But my battery has gone flat so my travel waits now while i charge to the full 100% . I heard you say four hours for the full charge? After 5 hours it's time to move on with travel and i set off having travelled 104 miles, with a full battery. The travel rate as I set off is 20 miles for each hour that has passed. I trust that illuminates the point I was incorrectly writing as 25 mph on aggregate.

@@jackrichards1863 Electric bikes aren't for 200 miles days, they are meant more towards commuters that want more power than a 125cc but the same mileage cost. Most just plug in at night saving time that would be spent at gas stops. Now for the app upgrades that is ludicrous, literally just a way for them to charge you more for less while saying it's to save you money. If they can sell me the bike for a profit without upgrades just unlock the upgrades to begin with. I hope Zero can change.
