Yo sorry for the loss.. I also dealt with a very similar situation with a friend of mine at around the same age.. He’ll definitely be watching over you and always be there to celebrate your achievements no matter what. You lost a friend but you gained a guardian angel.

Hey man, wanted to tell you that you're not alone. I lost my best friend 4 years ago at the same age. As soon as I found out of his death, I turned to alcohol as much as I could. I got wasted every day for a year before hitting my rock bottom. I came here to tell you that the bottle won't make it any better. It made things so much worse for me. I also can't imagine where I would be now if my significant other didn't tell me I needed help. It was a challenge to get here but I'm now 2 years sober. It's what my friend would have wanted. Wishing you emotional healing, friend. Keep faith and keep pushing.

My best friend also died suddenly when he was 24(he was the same age as me). I'm 31 now. He was actually the one who got me into old school runescape in my 20s. When I had found out he had passed away I used to wake up crying or even abruptly cry in the middle of the street. Now it's more of a harmonic sorrow. He's always with me.
