You mentioned your washer being on its last leg - I bought a washer and dryer in 1992, and when we moved in the fall of 2019, they were both still going strong (they were Maytags). My husband wanted to leave them behind, so we did. We are now on our 3rd washer since the move! My fridge, which I also purchased in 1992, was also still going strong, but we didn’t bring it when we moved.
