I recently saw an old video of Drew Barrymore on Johnny Carson. She was a young girl and was so full of personality and just adorable. I worked on a college campus for 7 years and then was a student there for 6 years straight. Got a BS and MS and started a new career as a speech therapist at 50! Let’s just say I was a late bloomer LOL. Anyway all that to say I loved being on the campus and still miss it. The UL campus in Lafayette has 100 year old oak trees and a swamp in the middle of the campus near the student union…it even has alligators that sometimes ‘escape’ during heavy rains when the water overflows the brick wall! The campus is as unique as Louisiana. Hope you have a great day and Mike is doing better🙏

Over here we have band aides in a spray; stings a little bit, but with some talcum powder over it it won’t stick anymore and you’ll hardly notice it. Also I sometimes cut off a vinger from a vinyl glove for protection 😇🍀

Id’s for Santa and Mrs. Claus, the elves, and the reindeer sound great. Santa needs an ID card to get into the mall. I made ID cards, I even laminated them and put the little clasp things on them, for my Halloween journals. I had IDs for vampire, witch, black cat, and zombie. They all need their IDs to get into their meetings.

The election commission held its first day of early voting in the meeting room of the small library where I work. Whew! We usually have 180 to 200 people in a day and today more than one thousand people trooped thru! Great turn out, but exhausting to say the same thing over and over. Fun projects! I don’t think I’d be very good at this journaling thing; I’d never have the heart to cover any of the writing on those old documents! I can totally relate to your feelings about your granddaughter taking you to the airport. My grandson just got his drivers license and is taking himself to school, in Houston traffic! My own driving days were over once we moved here, I could never drive here!

What determines when you print both sides or only one side?

I print on only one side if I plan to use the paper for collage. I print on two sides for pages in a journal. Also, some ephemera projects require two sided printing. If I have paper printed on one side and decide to use it as journal pages, I either run it back through the printer to print the back side or sew two pages together blank side to blank side.
