I am from Canada and I can tell you it is NOT for everyone . Don’t blindly follow any of these lists. The Canada Taiwanese know has ong gone. High taxes, increasing crime rate, corruptions, high living expenses, lack of job opportunities, social issues, and so many issues most western countries have. On top of that the terrible weather, inefficient health care and lack of public infrastructures. Canada is a place for those with good health, wealthily, and wants a lay back life. Don’t believe anyone says Canada is a great place for retirement unless you have all the above. In terms of immigration yes it is easier than the states, but Canada doesn’t offer much opportunity and pay as the states. Canada has been notoriously expensive especially since last few years. These are just lists on the internet. It doesn’t fit your particular situation.

Do you know that among nearly 200 countries worldwide, Canada is already among the best? Take a look at those lesser-known countries like Bolivia, Azerbaijan, Laos, Costa Rica, the Republic of the Congo, Nepal - do you think they are great places to consider? Or do you believe countries like India, Brazil, Russia, the Philippines, Turkey, Ethiopia, and others are good choices? Do you think issues such as taxes, cost of living, job opportunities, crime rates, etc., don't exist in these countries? For about 90% of the world's population, even if Canada has its share of flaws, these might not even be considered flaws for them. The shortcomings in their home countries could be much more serious. Besides, developed countries all have a pile of problems to solve - homelessness and gun violence in the United States, complex immigration procedures; refugee-related crime rates and right-wing tendencies in Europe; Japan's conservative atmosphere and repressive environment. Comparatively, other countries might not necessarily be better than Canada.

I feel that for people from Taiwan who could consider migrating to another country, those shitholes that you mentioned are never gonna be viable options to begin with. People in Taiwan are rich and qualified enough to have options. Some shithole people probably need to win the lottery to go to any first world country but you should not compared those people to the ones from Taiwan. This is not prejudice, just simple facts - the more qualified (useful) you are, the more options you have. @@tareco-brandnewblue

If you are rich or skilled, most of the countries on the list welcome you. Otherwise, good luck.

@@twwang9469 well they already have enough qualified people, so they should definitely be more selective. Why would they let any bozos in without selection?
