Great job! I love my Flextail. I did upgrade to the new one. It's quieter, faster, and I don't have to hold it when filling my pad. I have been going back and forth about bringing spikes. I may have them sent to Fontana so I have them for the Smokies. I start the beginning of March. Happy trails!

@ my start weight but this is base weights it’s 23-24 lbs due to still making finally choices and spring summer is 13 and some change but I start march 8th and your day is sooooo busy haha you have 50 starting your day mines steadily getting to that many as well

Many ways to go about it. The gearqweers will say anyone who doesn't get all expensive stuff will die in the woods. Nope. Through could be done in a pair of chucks and all Walmart gear.

@Outcast.takes.a.hike. I get surplus stuff sometimes. The Belgians make a good ruck. The French make good tents. The Swiss good tools. Some if it is really bad though, I'm like "Oh my, they send guys to war with this garbage" The plastic US canteens say "do not heat on open flame" Haha!

@@kmichaelbaker6761 winter base weight is 23lbs and spring summer is lil over 13lbs so add 4-5 days food and water add 8-10 lbs on that
