Thank you for all the videos. I've been fascinated with these things for decades. I still think the US should do 1 public test a year that anyone can go watch to keep the fear of these things alive in people. The generation that stops fearing them will be the generation that uses them. That and I really really want to see one in person. It doesn't have to be a megaton monster, just a "small" 30 KT test would be good enough and I'd pay a hefty ticket price if need be. It must be a whole different experience to watch live and hear that shockwave come through

They need to take politicians and world leaders to these tests

I hope someday someone will track down any extant audio tapes. Mics and recorders were commonly deployed to catch the pressure-wave signatures of detonations, from various distances. The reels should be sitting in archives somewhere; it's possible they have been forgotten and nobody ever bothered to declassify them, and nobody thought to go through a FOIA and/or MDR procedure to get them released. Or... they would still be too useful to bad actors to declassify.

Do you have more videos from a perspective like your "Operation Buster air burst nuclear weapons testing 31 kilotons" video? kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGiuhGWthamha6M I think it's the best video out there for those like myself who are trying to get a feel for the sheer size and scale of even a smaller, 31KT atomic bomb like this Operation Buster-Jangle Easy shot. Plus, it was the first test of a tactical nuclear weapon that was air dropped from a B-45 Tornado. If you slow the video down to 0.25 speed, you can even see the bomb in one frame, just before it reaches it's detonation altitude of 1,170 feet. In that video, the "target" is a 1/4 mile in diameter, so you can easily gauge or measure out the size of the destruction. Most videos out there show these massive explosions, but they are so far away, there is no scale for the human eye to reference and therefore, the true size of it is hard to comprehend.
