The “L” in Q6L stands for “long,” indicating an extended wheelbase. This elongated version provides more rear legroom and additional space for passengers, making it ideal for those who prioritize comfort during long journeys.
400-Mile Range:
Similar to the standard Q6 e-tron, the Q6L e-tron features a battery with a 100-kWh gross capacity (94.9-kWh usable) and an 800-volt charging system. Audi claims that the initial all-wheel-drive version will deliver 388 miles of range on the European WLTP test cycle. While EPA testing typically results in lower range estimates for U.S. electric vehicles, we can still expect a distance between 300 and 350 miles.
Tech-Packed Interior:
The Q6L e-tron boasts a high-tech interior with multiple screens:
11.9-inch OLED Driver Information Screen: Provides essential driving information.
14.5-inch Central Touchscreen: Angled toward the driver, this screen handles infotainment and vehicle settings.
10.9-inch Front Passenger Display: Equipped with an “Active Privacy mode,” allowing passengers to stream video content, browse the internet, and control various vehicle systems without distracting the driver.
Head-Up Augmented Reality (AR):
The Q6L e-tron enhances its head-up display with AR capabilities. Traditional information (such as speed and adaptive cruise control settings) is projected onto a wide AR “image plane.” This technology overlays digital images onto the real world, projecting graphical elements up to 650 feet ahead of the vehicle from the driver’s perspective. For instance, it can display an arrow indicating the turning location through the windshield.
