I just returned home from looking at Audi new cars in my city- not much new inventory at all. Less than 5 new Audis. I drove to the Acura and Mazda store next. I sat in the new Acura MDX Type-S Advance on showroom floor: met a nice older salesman and chatted and looked around. The sticker on the MDX Type-S is $75k and some change on the sticker. I know the Mazda product already since I have 2 now and have had 5 others before. Much more reasonable price for a quality Japanese made product. New vehicle shopping is always eye-opening. I’m waiting to drive a 2025 Camry Hybrid before I make a decision. I’ll buy my CX-5 when lease is up and keep her around. She has only 19,000 miles and it’s pristine since it’s always in the garage except for my night time drives. I work from home.

Nice how did you like the MDX? And have you thought about the Accord Hybrid? Great deals on those but yes Mazda is such a great choice glad you pulled the trigger on one and going to keep it!

@@MeynMotorGroup The exterior of the MDX is really pretty good imo- I like the wheels and red calipers and i was inside one and exterior was called Majestic Black- it was a metallic color. The interior is mostly good but I hear that the track pad is going away next model year, it’s not popular. Seats were pretty comfy, rear leg room good. I would leave the tiny 3rd row down. I wish the rear windshield wiper was tucked under the roof spoiler but I’m really having to nitpick. I will call them back to schedule a drive. $75k is hefty: I may not be able to play, I had a budget below $60 and you just don’t get what you did 5-10 years ago with that. I’m 28 but I remember hearing what my dad paid for his nice vehicles. And I did drive the accord Hybrid. I need a car to do more than transport me, I want to me moved. And it does zero: I’m not ready to be that practical and honestly I could care less about gas mileage. That’s like down the list for me. I wanna have fun and be classy. And I’m ready for the cost but $75k, I mean I’ll look more at BMW. But I always swing back towards the Japanese engineering for because reliability is higher on my list. I insist on refinement and quality feeling parts. And leasing is my intention again.

@@2004cyrus are you sure that was an A-Spec model? The A-Spec should be around $62,000 the Type-S is $75,000+ I would double check that window sticker.

@@MeynMotorGroup I was wrong in my initial message. I went back and looked and I was looking at the Type-S for the $75. I’ll have to think on that one. I really don’t want the A-Spec for $62. It’s a high class problem right? lol And you are correct of course. I’m steering clear of the Mazda CX-70 (when available) and CX-90. An oddball option on my list is the Toyota Sequoia.

@@theodoreyoung8777Great to get your thoughts brother especially on those lights, yes the thin lights seem to be the new trend everything is going "minimalist" and that's sapping some character in my opinion. Quick question, what do you think about the "light bar" design typically in the back of cars like what Porsche does with the Taycan? And agreed, the boxy look is nice for SUVs.
