concerning the sedan: yes, concerning the hatchback, no, but I guess it's just about taste. The characterlines of the S3 8Y are way more aggressive then it's predecessors, which is nice imo. Also the interior is something I like way more. But the 8Y.5, the most recent one, has had some facelift details that actually downgraded the looks for me. But well, again, de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est, very old saying, but still true.

I’ve never really got into your whole tuning side of things. The whole decat, opf delete side of things has never sat well with me but every time I’ve watched one of your reviews, I have loved it. I know you said you felt rusty but this feels exactly like your reviews have always felt. Informative, to the point, honest; you clearly know your stuff and clearly help whoever is watching completely understand what you’re saying, with all the comparisons and visual edits thrown in, it’s great. I’ve never felt the need to skip any parts or speed up a video either.

The removal of the S3 badge interior and exterior was a bad move. I know they got rid of the interior ones in the last gen, but the old S3/4/5/6/7 logo on the steering wheel, seats and door sills etc looked better than just S - which the normal S Line "A" cars had. The front grille needs it or its just an A3 - and on the rear its not an S3 without the S in the rhombus! The rear looks better than before and I know this is the best they can make it sound with all the rules and an OPF so im guessing it can't get any better for a hot hatch in its class with the dynamic upgrades

Great upload. I've seen a few videos on the new S3 and didn't realise those gear change jolts were on purpose - you were the first to explain that. In my old MK7 R if my 6 speed DSG jolted like that I'd be panicking lol

No, what's the point in a 3 door hatch? None. You buy a coupe, like a TT if you want that. The S3 and RS3 are daily cars, so need to be practical. Audi dropped the 3 door hatches as no one bought them.

Awesome to see you get some recognition Hamza 👏Love the hardware and software changes Audi Sport have done to the FL 8Y, though let's be honest they dropped the ball completely with the Pre-FL 8Y S3. The front end styling, boring colour palate, drop in quality inside (compared to the 8V) and that ridiculous gear selector arrangement aside, this is a return to form and Audi Sport is to be commended for that for sure.

Hi, I have a mark 6 tsi at 1.4 engine has completely gone for it since the car has not been used in years - I was thinking of doing an S3 8P engine swap on it as I hear it’s the same platform engine so it should fit in with OEM parts. Any advice or guidance please as I’m confused with it all

Don't know what VW are thinking these days, getting rid of the front s3 badge is a bad idea, getting rid of heater buttons, no windscreen fluid low warning on my Cupra leon mk4 300, buttons don't even light up. I'm looking to change my car and looking at older rs3 and s3 as I don't like the specs on new models.

question for you Hamza, if i getting a code that says the intake camshaft is out of tolerance, if only intake is out of tolerance can it be the timing chain wont both intake and exhaust need to be out of tolerance for the timing to be out of sync, this is what not making sense to me, any thoughts thanks, timing chain been done only 30k miles ago, this is a BMW petrol engine im talking about thanks

A lot of the options shown are not available to UK buyers, Audi UK screwing us over as usual. What you can spec if woeful and you're still going to spending the same as a low mileage RS3, a car that's night and day better than the current S3.
