I am on my 3rd Beta and love the brand. My 2021 300 race edition with a 2” lowboy on it . Unless you are A rider hitting every thing hard and fast, it wears you out! Sore next day, but than I bought a 2022 Xtrainer 300 and instantly felt more comfortable and could ride it hard and still ride the next day. So I bought a 2025 Xtrainer 300 and fricken love this thing! ! RIDE ON

Nice! The XTrainer was definitely the easier bike to ride I reckon. We ended up tackling some harder breakout trails the next day and I was glad to be in it instead of the 250 X-Pro. That said, the snap the 250 X-pro had was a lot of fun on the more open and less technical trails.

It would be sweet Beta offered a xc edition with upgraded suspension for higher speeds. I have a Lucky insert in my nearly new 24 and it seems to handle everything this B rider throws at it. Good n uff and well matched for my desert use.

As in an up specced XTrainer? That would be cool. They do have the RR Race models for the rest of the RR range which has the KYB suspension and I think (from memory) don’t have the auto mixer.

How was the suspension?

Fine for my hefty weight (103kg) and pace. Racers would probably prefer the KYBs of the Race models but for a general trail rider I think the suspension of the XPro is fine. The XTrainer is noticeably softer and gets overwhelmed easier on faster terrain but it’s not designed to charge hard over jumps and whoops anyway. Slow speed stuff I really enjoyed how soft it was.
