I purchased the 2025 Trax LT. I love it. I bought the max for service warranty and extended warranty just in case.....For the money, you get alot of car.

Just got this exact model and color yesterday, and I like it so far. Like you said, it comes down to reliability and my last two chevys were good up until about the 6yr mark then came the engine issues. Time will tell with this but for the money you get alot.

One thing that Chevy does a great job of is providing different colors. When you are shopping for a Rav 4, it’s basically all white and gray, but Chevy has some unique paints. I see a lot of Trailblazers, Equinox, and, of course, Trax with some sharp paint jobs.

Good luck finding the base trim at 21k. It looks good and it does drive decent even with the three-banger. My daughter is on her second Trax after the first one was grudgingly accepted back as a lemon. Not as many problems with the second one but it has not been problem free. I don’t think I would buy anything with a three cylinder turbo. I’d be shocked if it could get to 100,000 miles without severe engine issues at some point. Great review.

I see a lot of 3 cylinder comments on these videos, but my buddy has a 3 cylinder Mitsubishi I forgot the exact model but it's over 200k still getting him around

The air conditioner went out with less than 500 miles. Evaporator coil on back order. Two more weeks without air. Wow.
@joesample65013 ай бұрын
That’s a major concern. Considering the vehicle is new. You should expect the evaporator to go out when there is dual climate control. Sorry to hear about that. Bumper to bumper warranty
@joesample65013 ай бұрын
I needed to bring more clarity on my statement about the evaporator. So if you have Dual climate control that is you’re able to run the temperature high on one side and low on the other side. This will cause the evaporator to burn out. From a personal experience. I own a Cadillac and the evaporator went out. Cause was due to the high and low temperature. I believe in the case of the Trak there may be something electrical, a defect with perhaps the harness connection. You have the bumper to bumper warranty and those things are covered. No worries

This seems pretty comparable to a Kia Soul. Which would you recommend and why? Love the color on this Trax, by the way.
@tom248653 ай бұрын
The Kia soul all the way. it's more reliable, better non-turbo engine the Kia has a normal 4 cylinder and a decent cvt, better than any Chevy transmission. And the Kia also has a 100k warranty.
@palebeachbum2 ай бұрын
Given the choice between the Trax and the Soul, I'd go with the Soul. It's better in every conceivable way except for having a shorter cargo area with the seat up. Better engine. Better tech inside. Better interior quality. Better fuel economy. Better warranty.

What’s with the ticking sound of the engine
@donhebel101119 күн бұрын
Probably the injectors... they make sounds like that ticking you mention. Just a guess, but likely is no problem at all.

watched your video and you were claiming you had no idea and struggled about the "new" icons on the screen? Well, even I could tell what the icons were representing. Just saying. First one is music, followed by a phone. Then would be as stated your traction control. Followed by basic vehicle info and then the "home screen". Also I'm older than you and I could figure it out. again...just saying

1.2 3cyl is an immediate failure. Too small of an engine. Reliability will be a major issue. Of course Chevy will sell a lot of these.

I’m steering WAY clear of this, and ANY turbo-charged engines, especially small ones like this one. No thank you, Chevrolet 👎🏻
@davidroehr16723 ай бұрын
Agreed...my vehicle is currently in the shop now with a blown turbo engine just shy of 25k miles. After dealing with these crappy turbo engines and having the same issues with all of them, I will never buy another vehicle with a turbo...especially with a tiny engine to boot. These newer vehicles like the one shown are basically made to just make it to the warranty period. They won't last long term. That's exactly what these car companies want though, so you will rush out and buy another one.

@@davidroehr1672 What car do you have with the turbo issue?
@robwinter31833 ай бұрын
3 cylinder? turbo? - not a fan of turbo's. EPA rules kicking in - auto need to get better MPG - so they make the motor smaller and artificially boost the power with a turbo. But a new car under $25k - sure they will sell - smart move on GM . Koren made - cheap labor - we'll see how it works in 6 months / 1 year. They say the motor only last 200,000 miles.... disposal suv I guess.
