I bought a 2024 Bison and I love it. I added the winch, snorkel, auxiliary switch panel, removable side steps. The layout for the winch is very well thought out with the winch controller up high near the battery so if the truck is in some deep mud the winch controller won't get wet. It's small details like this that really make me appreciate the truck.

2018 AEV BISON owner here...no way id trade in for this. A 4-cylinder? The spare in the bed? C'mon Chevy, you can do better, you HAVE done better. If it aint broke, DONT fix it. Maybe take it off-roading on a video and show us where they hid the "bad-ass'' switch. 🤔

2025 Chevrolet Colorado production doesn’t start until the first week of December. So how are you reviewing a 2025 from a dealer?
@AutomotiveAnonymous20810 күн бұрын
When I was informed of this truck being available I mistakenly took it as a 2025 so that’s what I had prepared. I have already filmed a number of 2025 Silverados so I didn’t think much of it, when I realized I was wrong I put the emphasis into my video’s description that this is presumably true for the 2024-2025 model year as no changes have been announced (that I’m aware of). I’m sorry about the confusion in how I went about trying to find the equalizer in publishing this video. I suppose I could just take off the year.

My 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed was a “leftover”. I bought it on 2/29/24. The dealership had owned it for 8 months. The salesman told me that the reason why it hadn’t sold was because it was the 6’ bed instead of the 5’ bed. I get it that a shorter pickup is better for off roading but in reality do people actually buy a truck strictly for off road use? We had to have the 6’ bed because we use our (my) truck for work around our property, taking it off road, camping and a daily driver. A 5’ bed truck is too hard to sleep in and when using your truck for work, that extra foot comes in handy for hauling more. Plus a 6’ bed looks more equal. A friend of ours bought a Tacoma new in 19. He wanted a 6’ bed but a 5’ bed barely fits in his garage. To me a truck with a 5’ bed is Worthless. It’s like a soccer mom buying a minivan with no seats, it’s worthless.

Yeah, a 6’ bed is definitely much more useful. But most people aren’t choosing to buy trucks for their actual use of towing and hauling, lol. 😅

So... TELL US! How do you spool the turbo?

@ figure it out. It's my understanding new vehicles have electric line-locks so it makes it easy. But I have seen it demo'd on the ZR2 Bison. I'm old school and would have to show you how it's done in analog mode.

While I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion, you didn’t mention some factual things about the truck. This particular truck does not have the connivence package 2 which would give you leather seats that are heated and cooled, wireless charging, rear seat arm rest/cup holders etc which you just simply stated it doesn’t have it - it’s just the way this particular vehicle was optioned. As for the visibility you should never see the side of your vehicle in the side mirrors if they are adjusted properly but I agree the rear tire causes visibility issues. And generally speaking for the price this is a way more off road capable vehicle vs the jeep or even the Tacoma..

@AutomotiveAnonymous20812 күн бұрын
Yeah, haha. A basic Colorado does 0-60 about 3s faster.
@ZBoomer3912 күн бұрын
The 2.7 is tuned for low and midrange torque, not high-end rush, and is exceedingly good for doing most "truck stuff." I was shocked how well it towed my boat, and how effortlessly it pulls it up the boat ramp, so yeah, it's not great at 0-60, but it sure does truck stuff well. It's powerband is very diesel-like for sure.
