I ski the Bent 110 and like how playful it is, but would like a little more stability out here in the PNW. Something that still pivots easy. Some others I've been eyeing; Atris, ARV106, Line optic 104. I'm advanced/expert, 5'11" 175lbs. Not as hard charging these days, no park, no switch, but technically sound ( spent multiple years in race camps in my younger years). Kudos to the great work on the videos!!

I have the same question bent 110 vs Mfree. I like a lighter ski that will charge as well with a softer flex that can take through trees and tighter areas. Tend to smear my turns to control speed and lay on edge on groomers and fly. Looking at bent in a 180 and dynastar at 185 I guess but that’s a lot of ski. I’m 5’11 and 205 ski Tahoe -!: and Utah

I got to demo these on a blower pow day at snowbird and it was hard to go back to my other skis at the end of the day 😅 So fun in soft snow.

What bindings would you reccommend? I weigh 155 lbs and purchased the 182 cm M-Free. My local shop has the Marker Griffon, Salomon Strive 14 and look pivot 15. I do 360's and will be skiing mainly in Verbier. Any tips? Again, thank you for your videos they were a huge help for making this purchase.

Generally we'll not not recommend a Pivot for a ski like this. They just came out with 105 mm brakes for 2025 on some of the Pivot 15 models so now it's a great fit. At the end of the day, though, the Griffon and Strive are both fantastic choices and will work just fine for what you're looking to do.

Need more skis from Dynastar
@SkiEssentials27 күн бұрын
Do you mean that Dynastar needs to make more skis or that we need to feature more skis from Dynastar? If it's the latter, we did review 17 models in the 2025 ski test--other than the speed/race skis, I think we got them all. www.skiessentials.com/2025-ski-test/category/brands/dynastar

Will you be reviewing the m-free 112? How does the 108 compare to the 112? I'm looking to get a west coast daily driver.
@SkiEssentials21 күн бұрын
We have M-Free 112 ski test videos as well as a feature in a comparison. We plan on doing a long-form review on it this season as condition s allow. It's heftier than the 108 and with a sharper tip and flatter tail than the 108 with flatter camber as well. This makes it smearier and less poppy than the 108 which as always had great energy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/farSl3aIositaKM kzbin.info/www/bejne/pomonGCdh7x2bdE

@@SkiEssentials awesome thanks. Quick follow-up question: any comparison between the 108/112 and qst blank? Trying to find something that helps me pick one of those. How would these rank in maneuverability and separately in low tide/groomers?

Ski'd these out in CB during Blister week. I've never been more dissappointed by a ski in my life.

It's amazing because this comment popped up three days ago regarding the same ski: "Hands down the best ski on that wall is the Dynastar free 108 that thing is like butter skiing out here at kicking horse on a 192 that thing actually tears the hill apart." The fact that two skiers can have such different opinions on a ski further reinforces our philosophy that there's no "best" ski but rather a "best fit for you" when it comes to pairing skis to skiers. Thanks for the feedback, it's important to hear all sides and experiences!

@@SkiEssentials Yeah. I know why, I think. It was very hard pack underneath a slight powder cover for me. They were very smooth if the powder was deep enough (I don't need that help honestly). So, once it got on to the firmer, steeper areas, they basically felt like bouncing noodles. The next day was a super powder day (over 1 foot new snow) and I went back to the 104 frees (didn't want to miss it). It may be that I just don't like skiing on softer powder skis. Style issue. It's Probably be better off in the M-Pro skis...

Is the 178 or 185 cm length more comparable to the old 182cm ski in terms of feel?
@SkiEssentials27 күн бұрын
I always thought the 182 skied longer than advertised, so I'd say the 185 is closer in feel to the 182.

Do you think this would be a good replacement for a ARV 106Ti?
@SkiEssentials26 күн бұрын
It's got great energy for the width, lots of flotation due to the rocker, and a very smooth feel--hard to say it's not going to work great as a replacement for the ARV 106.
@Sck51926 күн бұрын
@@SkiEssentials - that's great to hear, i'm having trouble finding something that is stiff and heavy like the Ti version with a freestyle shape. The only ski that seems close is the wildcat 108 but you can never find deals on those even in the used market.
