I spent whole day checking out Mavericks, Broncos and Rangers. Love the Broncos, just needing a latter climb in that high beast would be too much for an older guy with a hip issue. Both the F150 and Rangers mighty nice as well too but depending on step board to get in would also be hassle. So there was the Mavericks both 2024 & 2025 on the lot. The two I was eyeing was 2025 Lariat Hybrid 4k vs 2024 XLT with 4K & FX4 & luxury packages. No Tremors, they hadn’t yet got 2025, and the 2024 one was stuck on no sale with several others XLTs with frozen backup camera recall, all waiting for a fix. There been change how trims & packages applied between 2025 & 2024. Along with dash info and bigger touch screen. Going in to this with much KZbin reviewing watching. I had my thought I would not like the 2025 big screen and would want the smaller screen and more hard touch controls. Actually touching both while in lot then on test drives Ny mind was changed. Absolutely prefer 2025 drivers tac and using the big faster easier to read larger screen. On 2024 the certain dials or buttons work with screen sling with feel of dial just wasn’t as good. In the 2025 you still get a driver side dial which switches use with what uou got selected so work as quick volume button as needed or something else if certain screen selections are selected. Very intuitive and easy. Next thing is the difference between 2024 hybrid with front two wheel drive vs 2025 All wheel drive hybrid. Both take some time to get use too. The AWD hybrid I liked better, but it limits you on which other packages & tires you can have. The 2025 AWD Hybrid can take the can take the 4k tow, but not the FX4, Blackout, or the advanced Tremor. Also the blackout has 19 tires vs FX4 which has 17 tires so they are compatible options. Driving the hybrid both 2024 & 2025 has noticeable differences and also very different then just the stock AWD Echo boost 2.0 liter. The regenerative slow or braking vs how feels driving around different conditions would take some getting you too. Here Ohio any EV or Hybrid get hit with yearly $200 registration fee. If I did really long commute or much stop and go traffic I could see real priory in hybrid over everything. If I was always dirt paths I could see focusing on Tremor or FX4 as must. For me I preferred the 19 inch over 17 inch tires driving , looks, how rest for me to climb in. As my prime daily driver the 19 tires in AWD with if needed slippery mode will 99% of my usage. Getting the 4k tow as well is awesome as comes with both 7 pin, 4 pin, and brake controller on the 2025. So weekend fun or work trips possible. If i was doing weekly towing with more a dirt road thing, going 17inch FX4 & 4k or Tremor 4k tow would be ideal. Taking the 2025 XLT with blackout, 4K tow, Luxurious, pilot upgrade, and whole bunch other bed options was way I went. Pretty much matches the Lariat trim without rear window and leather seats. Still have heated seats & wheel. Cloth seats better in the hot summer anyway. Can always do 3rd party reskin if I want that as well. So got my Maverick at around $39k which few thousand less then Lariat trim. I figure in couple years trade this in to that hybrid if that excels or whatever better thing Ford does. Right now got almost all the tech & options, driving well and looking amazing without any hybrid worry or hassle. Like the 2025 AWD hybrid using the battery & electric engine as starter & alternator. So while you use your battery the length of just staying idle auto shut down few minute if not in drive to save enough battery for starting. There is possible issues if drain the hybrids extra batteries, as really requires to be driving. So terms weekend camping without moving yet running the truck, the regulator engine work better for me. Man I’m excited to be buying this small truck. Easy to get into, easy to load stuff to the bed, got plenty cool tech and nice small towing while looking good with that blacked out on Oxford White color. Excited that geek as I got stormtrooper Ford truck. Maverick a real hit. Worth checking out. I saw three others that day buying Mavericks. A retired guy trading in his jeep, a family with young kids trading his old f150, and a mom trading in her old Honda pilot. According my sales guy John G at Bayers Ford Ohio, they just keep getting bought as fast as they get them in. Definitely worth checking out in person. Very versatile.

If you want the all-wheel-drive and then you have the 4K towing and basically all the packages that have been around for the last few years. It’s only about $1500 away from lariat.

Lariat interior is the worst. Hodgepodge of 4 colors most of which clash with exterior colors. Even black appearance pkg is a mix of black and blue. I drove the 2025 hybrid awd and was impressed but interiors made me pass
