I have driven this car also and I found it to be great along with being more comfortable than a full on ST so there any plenty of benefits also on that front. I can see why you like it along with the long term ownership for sure😊

My wife picks up her Frozen white ST with the handling package on Friday. She's trading in her 2023 Fiesta ST3,her car also has the panoramic sunroof

Many congratulations! I have heard Ford no longer offer Frozen White with the ST Handling Pack so it might be a rare sight on the roads too 🎊

We have fiesta ST3 and trying to decide if swap for puma ST or keep fiesta

I currently have the Fiesta ST-3 mean green. Due to swap in the next 12month most likely to this! I’ve been been really unsure I want to swap it, but these videos are helping! If I do, i’ll really miss the Mean green colour 🥲 I’ve had so many people comment on it.

Happy the videos are helping! I have spent time with a Fiesta ST-2 in mean green along with a Focus MK4.5 ST and agree the colour looks wonderful 👍

Looking at buying the st in solar silver with the handling pack. I have driven the pre face lift one and the current one. Found the new one much quieter none of the engine/exhaust rubble and didn’t feel the regeneration of battery. Did drive first one on my own so maybe a bit more spiritedly and the second with a salesman so more conservatively. Can the regeneration be on different modes? and can the autistics of the puma st be changed through the speakers. Just wondering on your thoughts. Thanks for your enthusiastic reviews.

Thank you for the positive feedback. I would say you are doing the right thing with test drives to see which one you prefer the most. Solar Silver with the Handling Pack sounds like a great combination should that work for you as it is very subjective with noise along with the change in ride with the suspension. For me it is firm but I enjoyed the car and would be happy to live with it day to day 🙂

Hi, I have a pre facelift Puma ST powershift, which in terms of engine / drivetrain is identical to the car tested here. Before the Puma I had a mk. 8.5 Fiesta ST 1.5 200 PS (same engine / drivetrain as your Puma). Obviously the Fiesta was quicker, but the Puma never feels lacking in the performance department, and is without doubt a more well rounded package. The Fiesta was a fantastic car on the right road (preferably deserted and free from speed cameras), but the Puma is a great car all of the time, it can do refined and relaxing as well as fast and fun, whereas the Fiesta was only really comfortable with the latter. I imagine the Fiesta would be a similar experience to your Puma, so hope this comparison helps.

Thank you for your question. Having driven a 1.5 Puma in the pas,t along with many 1.5 MK8.5 Fiesta ST's, I can say that the larger engine with an extra 30ps does add to the performance. However, I never felt as though this 1.0 Hybrid with 170ps is lacking power. Particularly with the hybrid it feels almost electric off the line and very responsive. Arguably below 30mph more responsive than the 1.5. Above 50mph I noticed the 1.0 170ps did seem to strain a little and run out of go but it was still by no means slow. It certainly is worth a test drive to try for yourself as it is subjective. With normal road speed limits the car felt great to me and we had two of us in the car for this particular journey for reference. I personally would stick with your 1.5 Gold ST although I did enjoy the KW suspension of the Handling pack 👍

How is the interior quality versus the pre-facelift? Some of the reviews I've read suggest it has taken quite a backward step

I found the interior quality to be really good. I have spent time in the pre-facelift and for me it actually felt a bit of a step up. Particularly with the new dash. That said I have heard from owners there seems to be less kit as standard with the facelift. I plan to drive another one, non-handling pack facelift Puma ST, next week on the channel so will share my further thoughts on this to hopefully help out further by giving me a better understanding of the car as a whole 😊

@@SamAustin thanks for the reply. Follow-up question if I may. Do you know if there is any ambient lighting in the interior? My Focus has a bit but it's otherwise a pretty dark place at night compared to the 1-series I had before.

I could not tell on this particular car as it is was quite a sunny day. If there was it did not stand out to me. I do know of owners who often retrofit ambient lighting in the footwells and around the car to brighten things up 😊☀️
