I’ve learned a few things about tires with my 3/4 ton 4x4…thinking I wanted aggressive tires….1…they wear down faster 2….think about being on icy roads with not very many grippy points not touching the slick surfaces…I just bought BF goodsKO3s We will see how these go….central Nebraska

I’ve always preferred the look of the GMCs. My dad always said GMC is for the boss. The plebes get the Chevys. 😊

The transmission thing is if next to a fire truck listen how it shifts same as some big trucks.that would give you an idea of how your truck should shift sometimes takes a while to go through gears in the transmission and you can get used to it just takes time cause my few dump trucks with automatic transmission did take a while to shift but pulling a twenty ton load plus truck weight so only time will tell take care of it good you posted for me lol thanks again Mike waiting for next video

the grill on gmc is nice, even on my 2011 2500, which is a lot more barebones than yours. I don't know if i'd want your 10 speed transmission over my 6 speed, time will tell since those faux-Allison's are still in their youth. 5 leaf springs on the 2500 instead of your 7 (or 8?). Gotta love the pushrod small blocks from GM and the fact they still make them in this form without AFM, means they have awesome old-school reliability. Just wish they had committed to bulletproof Transmissions and GM would easily be on top of the big 3. But supposedly they're smarter than us and we don't know what we're talking about.
@Adventureswithmike13 күн бұрын
Yeah, the new ten speeds have been having issues, but it's not as common as they're making it out to be. I think it had a lot to do with the covid era.Trucks on the forms, there's a lot of guys with over a 100000 miles. On the new ten speeds and not a single problem, but then some people have gone through two valve bodies in less than 60k miles. But what I want to know is with the valve body fixed, how reliable the transmission can be, that's the main question
@LamelKendrick3 күн бұрын
@@Adventureswithmike1 yeah if you can dig deep and learn if there are some modifications you can make to add protection from major part failures that's definitely worth pursuing.

Single cabs are getting rare, I've been looking for the Duramax version of your truck in the video but they are even more rare, although I'm looking at the 2500's and they are pricey. I would not want to think about the price of a 3500.
@Adventureswithmike13 күн бұрын
@James-lp5 yeah, I couldn't find any regular cabs. That's why I had to order one. But this truck was just under 60,000. And the duramax option will be about another 10 grand on top of that..

Question mike. If you could choose to keep this truck or get your super duty back that got totaled, what would you choose?
@Adventureswithmike13 күн бұрын
Oh damn is that a good question.... man, I gotta really seriously think about that.. i would say my old f250, but in brand new condition. Just knowing how good that truck was, I would have to take that over the GMC
@Colynthesavage3 күн бұрын
@Adventureswithmike1 I figured if the odometer was put back to the same mileage that it was on that you would choose that one.

Hey man, found your channel a few days ago. In the 5 things you hate video, you mentioned the hood being very tall. I was curious to know if you are able to see out the windshield? Like is the seat height adjustable? Is it tall enough? I haven’t gotten a chance to drive this yet so I was curious since we’re roundabout the same height too, and I’m worried that the seat will sit too low. Love the vids btw.
@Adventureswithmike13 күн бұрын
Yeah, there's no problem seeing out.It's just with the hood being so long and the truck being so tall.You end up with a lot of blind spots.. And you can adjust the seat hire if you'd like, but it still just doesn't give you good visibility
@varunmungali76773 күн бұрын
Alright, thank you. Forgot to mention it before, but beautiful truck.

@@Adventureswithmike1sorry I got one more question. Do you drive with your seat on the highest setting? If you do, do you ever feel as if it’s not high enough? Sorry again, I read online about someone complaining about this and I just want to be sure. Thanks
@Adventureswithmike13 күн бұрын
@varunmungali7677 no, it goes plenty high enough. It'll go high enough to wear my head. You can almost touch the roof. Lol but mine has the power seat option. I don't know about in the lower trim levels if you have as much adjustment

@mountdesertrock yes, they were offering 0% interest.. but on the 2025the best you could get was 3.8 % but that's still not bad.
