Pain by numbers is similar to diamond painting. Embroidery is like more advance cross stitch. You can try baking, but if you're not great at cooking you might also not be great at baking. Gaming is definitely a hobby. If you only do board games, you can try video games, or maybe a different type of game. Good luck finding something!

It sounds like you have some great goals for living intentionally without pressure to fixate on the goals themselves. It comes across like a plan to keep you on the road you want to travel rather than rules to adhere to and that’s very positive. As for a hobby you didn’t mention I find puzzles fun and relaxing and I will listen to audiobooks or a video in the background at the same time. I have also become a fan of cooking- which is a big shock to me. It’s always been a chore to me and I still pretty much loathe cleanup, but the cooking itself is fun and we have been saving lots of money by never eating out.

You could try some different types of art - drawing, painting, watercolour, crafts etc. The Wordle could add on to a hobby of doing different puzzles - wordsearch, sudoku, crossword, you could try one of those murder mystery puzzle books. Escape rooms! These can be the real ones, or if you want to save money you can get at home ones. To tie in with the health goal you could go on walks or hikes to different places. You could use your phone and dabble in photography, or play video games. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy it!

I love your goals. Reading 25% of your physical books is a great goal. I'm very excited to cheer you on in 2025. YOU ONLY HAVE 3 BOOKS LEFT!!!! You can finish the rainbow shelves. If you keep DNFing a certain book I think you should allow yourself to DNF it for good. I personally thought The Graveyard Book was good but Coraline was better. That's what makes reading so fun it's subjective.

So excited for your year of hobbies. I really want to get into polymer clay so maybe that's one you could try too... or mosaic... or book binding lol

Hobby suggestion: origami. There is a story about 1000 paper cranes that inspired me to make my own 1000, thinking about doing it again.

Hobbies... Maybe look at something you can start with a low barrier for $$$. Drawing might be a good one. An art book and some pencils from Kmart would set you back about $20. Good luck with 2025.

Ooh… get yourself a copy of the barefoot investor by Aussie finance guru Scott Pape, and setup your buckets. Then you can limit your book spending to your splurge bucket only. Also, rather than $1 per 100 pages, what about a credit system? Read 3 or 5 and then buy 1.
