For the pen colors, I saw a Japanese unboxing where they unscrewed the top part of the 2024 pens and 2025 pens, and swapped the parts, so the 2025 pen looked like pudding colors, brown atop the yellow. That was such a simple thing, but I had NEVER thought of mix-matching the uni-jetstream pens.

For the sticky pocket, I save mine until I finish the year and it is time to archive my Weeks with my others. Then I used it, vertical, on the back cover (bottom right) to keep any loose bits and bobs that were in the cover on cover pocket. Because I take that clear cover off when I archive to either reuse or sometimes they are just split and knackered.

Love all your colors! I dont use the pocket in my weeks. I use it for my Hon. I stick it on the clear plastic cover for the Hon, so I can use the yellow page keeper. I either have a clear cover or a leather cover on my weeks. Those already have pockets.

Big Bird vibes! 😂 I picked up a great tip the year of the poop emoji pens. You can switch out the rubber grip part from a previous year’s pen to mix and match colors. I’ve been having a lot of fun mixing up colors since then.

Yes I think I’m holding out for PaperTess vs Sterling Ink…I have my A5 Hon from last year with the Japanese flowers so I was sad they didn’t make a series out of that, would’ve bought in a heart beat. I tried to buy on Hobonichi’s site but it kept saying server was busy…so I found my items on Yoseksa and got the first time buyer discount so that made up for H’s cheaper prices. I think my order is arriving tomorrow! Did you ever look at Rosey Life Planner….her planners, sticker kits, etc?

I am waiting on my A5 5yr. I plan on using the “blank” side for future years, maybe a full 10yrs. I turned a B6 Cafe Notes into a 5yr and love the size, it is pretty much perfect for a personal 5yr.

Nice haul. Part of me is tempted to get a 5 year techo and then continue the lines on the other side and get 10 years out of it. The last year would be a problem with the hobo 5 year, becuase of the quotes. I wish they wouldn't have those in there. Do the free notebooks stay flat? And yes, I'm one of those who found you through your sterling ink video. It was so entertaining and funny. Thanks for the good video.

Fab haul. I'm waiting on an A6 original. Cherries weeks. 2 covers for the A6 (one was a late fomo order dammit) and the cherries and sushi deco rush tape. I'm going down from a cousin to A6 as it overwhelms me. I also put the week's pocket in the exact same place and orientation as you. I'm in my first year of doing the A6 5 year. Easy to do, but also still easy to get behind on!!!

I’m laughing about the pens, 2024 pens really grew on me, I’m a garish bright colors gal and was like what is this muted teal and brown combo?? But it’s nice to look at over the year and I really liked how smooth the pen was. My original plan was only sterling ink planners but I saw that hobonichi had the spy family and got it for my friend. Of course I had to get the other merch and then I browsed the website 😂 my only consolation is that at least i didn’t buy any cover but now I have an extra weeks and will find something to do with it. Omg I too have been bouncing with my thoughts, I was thinking I needed the Sterling ink…. I was sold, then her release is all in stages (and I get it, and it’s not like we NEED them NOW) but releases in stages really kick me in the teeth. SOOOO now let’s go back to September 1… I HAD to order me a cousin. I too needed her for a back up, and while waiting for the SI release, I find PAPERTESS??? OMG I NEED that daily notebook. ❤😮. @@chapter48creative I finally got an order in Saturday night. I’m in Colorado. But I cancelled it, went to bed and woke up Sunday morning. I checked the website and it was restocked with the items I wanted so I made the order then. Hopefully I’ll get my order soon. So excited!!!!

I’m really loving your channel, I think you’re hysterical! My question is how do you utilize so many different planners? I have trouble just keeping one planner together and keeping my head organized. I don’t understand how people use multiple planters. And I tried it. When happy planner came out. I bought every single planner they owned.but I’m stuck in the cycle of not being able to get my thoughts on paper and articulated. I can’t seem to do it using an online planner. I don’t know what the problem is, but I gotta find someway to get this started and stick with it. Do you have any suggestions about how to start which one planner?

@@krystenburkhardt-hansyn the real truth is…I often can’t sustain multiple planners all year long. We all have busier times in life where that becomes impossible. Or stretches of time where we are less motivated, have less energy, or just prioritize differently. During those times, if half (or all) of my planners are neglected then it’s alright. A lot of my planners have specific purposes (health, language, pet, spirituality) and need minimal amounts of time. Even still, if I don’t work on learning Japanese for a month, it’s ok. Life happens. As for picking just one (which I obviously am not very good at because I’m addicted to notebooks), I’d say start with learning if you are a horizontal or vertical person. That will weed out some of the options. Then figure out if you like the structure of having dated dailies or if you prefer something more like Sterling Ink where the dailies are more flexible (undated). You also need to know everything you want to keep track of, so that you can even see if there’s enough room to do it all. I’m no expert. I just like using them and trying new things and share it with all of you in case it helps spark your own ideas for how to use your planners. Thank you for being here. 🫶🏻

@@findingcassandra8561 I do swap inks around into my favorites. I never use the 2023 pens. I just use them as refills. And I probably won’t use these. Someone also suggested swapping body parts to make new combos. I might try that.

The accent! 😂 😂 I mean I sound like that all of the time! 😂 😂 I do have a question 🙋🏼‍♀️, how is it that you got your order from Japan 🇯🇵 and I have not yet received mine from JetPens?!?! 🤔 Yes, I panicked and ordered from JetPens, I tried Japan 🇯🇵, I was on time, wellllll, the 2nd time I was on time, the first time was like 5 pm Saturday and nothing was happening so I rechecked the time and was like ohhhhh. 😅 So I was back at the correct time and it was a failure of a situation, I was like, this is easy they say, no problems they say, and oh man I would add to cart and go to my cart and nothing was in my cart and then try again and then I was in a panic and was like, is it gone from JetPens, no it is not, add to cart and check out and Wowzers that was easy. So I start to investigate the situation and boy oh boy, people were so mad and so upset and I did feel bad for them because they stayed with Japan until JetPens was sold out of their things and they didn’t know to try the next morning, I mean I didn’t even make it to the next morning, but Wowzers it was so scary and people are so mad and sad. 😞 I love your stuff and say, keep the accent! You are so funny! 😂 💕

@@chapter48creative I need help too because I had this brilliant, but probably not original, idea to get the cute pencil boards and frame them for art! I am art challenged in the first place but those pencil board are so cute I could look at them on my wall every day. I haven’t ordered one yet for this situation but it is a big time possibility! I love the idea of the big bird pen and now want one! Another order, do they still have stuff, I was kinda afraid to go back? 🤔

Someone gave you the wrong information, Sterling Ink offers both types of notebooks. She has ones with weeks in them and some that don’t.

What's a pencil board?

It's main purpose is to provide a harder, more stable surface to write on. You slip it behind the page you're writing on. This will also prevent the indentations from your pen into the paper. I personally prefer those indentations and the feeling of the pages with that texture. I do use it behind several pages that have bulked up with ephemera and are making it harder to write on. It can also be used as a ruler or a place to catch sticky notes.
