I do love a mood tracker. I have a super simple one in the health planner along with my sleep, anxiety, and energy. It doesn't really capture the full spectrum of a day...just an average. Maybe I could do something that's more like Morning, Afternoon, Evening. You know your girl can be a rollercoaster!! 🫶🏻

Good to see you forging ahead. Take it easy and slow. I’m commenting to share that I started interstitial logging in my dailies. It’s pretty much what you described that you do on your notes app. I note how I’m feeling and what I’m doing throughout the day. I have a desk job and work from home which makes it possible. I’ve found it to be helpful with focus. Particularly during difficult times. I’ve been able to hone in on those frequent moments when I seriously do not want to work. A lot of times, I’m feeling anxious around those moments. So a quick walk or drinking ice water gives me a mini reset. The practice also helps me see those things I do without even noticing. I’ve referred to the notes when I backfill my memory keeping and tracking. I will say that giving this practice a dedicated home made a difference in my keeping up with it. Just a thought. I know doing things seems like a lot of exhausting work when grieving but this may be doable.

I love that. Thank you for sharing. I definitely want to go through my bazillion notebooks and find one to use for this. Maybe one of my old Fields Notes.

@ I’m glad it may help. I just want to mention one more thing; my thought process is that it’s enough that I’m distressed should I also be frustrated? Maybe this will help. For me, right now, this note taking is temporary; maybe for a few months. I mention this because it’s easier to actually do when you have an end date.

It's nice to see you, and I appreciate the honesty in your updates, I empathize and relate to a lot of what you mentioned. I believe that when our pets pass away, they find a way to guide us to a new pet. This new pet is not a replacement-our lost pets are irreplaceable-but rather the companion we need to help us heal and open a new part of our hearts to love again. Knox's honey badger stage may be just what you need to find your way back to you, and I bet Dutch knew that. Good luck with training! PS...I went a bit bananas with my planners this year myself, and at the last minute I bought not one but TWO hobonichi weeks (my first time ever using and holding a weeks, and I'm in love! Hi! Late reply here, but with my experience in bookbinding and being a fellow planner hobbyist, the issue with a lot of new planner companies is that they haven't realized that the cover material on the spine prohibits the books from laying completely flat, which differs from most Japanese planner/notebook company's books. The cover material is a thick material, when compared to Hobonichi's glued paper binding for example, and the extra "padding" in the spine, caused the by the leatherette cover material layer, is what causes the book not to lay flat. CreateWithPen notebooks also suffer from this issue. In all my books like this, I gently cut off the spine material layer just from the spine area. It is risky to do this, because you don't want your exacto knife to go in any deeper than that top layer, but if you do it carefully you can remove that top layer material and then the book will lay perfectly flat like you/we all want. It doesn't look great, but if you don't mind, or find a way to cover it without sacrificing the flexibility of the spine, your problem will be solved! I just started following you on IG so let me know if you want me to DM you to show you exactly what I mean if anything is unclear or you want a visual. Hope this helps in some way!! I love your videos so much. Seems like we're all so very much in the same boat of indecision 2025!

I’m really loving your channel, I think you’re hysterical! My question is how do you utilize so many different planners? I have trouble just keeping one planner together and keeping my head organized. I don’t understand how people use multiple planters. And I tried it. When happy planner came out. I bought every single planner they owned.but I’m stuck in the cycle of not being able to get my thoughts on paper and articulated. I can’t seem to do it using an online planner. I don’t know what the problem is, but I gotta find someway to get this started and stick with it. Do you have any suggestions about how to start which one planner?
@chapter48creative2 ай бұрын
@@krystenburkhardt-hansyn the real truth is…I often can’t sustain multiple planners all year long. We all have busier times in life where that becomes impossible. Or stretches of time where we are less motivated, have less energy, or just prioritize differently. During those times, if half (or all) of my planners are neglected then it’s alright. A lot of my planners have specific purposes (health, language, pet, spirituality) and need minimal amounts of time. Even still, if I don’t work on learning Japanese for a month, it’s ok. Life happens. As for picking just one (which I obviously am not very good at because I’m addicted to notebooks), I’d say start with learning if you are a horizontal or vertical person. That will weed out some of the options. Then figure out if you like the structure of having dated dailies or if you prefer something more like Sterling Ink where the dailies are more flexible (undated). You also need to know everything you want to keep track of, so that you can even see if there’s enough room to do it all. I’m no expert. I just like using them and trying new things and share it with all of you in case it helps spark your own ideas for how to use your planners. Thank you for being here. 🫶🏻
