This is definitely going to be the car of the year. I wonder what the updated Si will get. Probably better brakes, suspension and roughly 250hp hybrid setup. Then onto the Type R… hopefully Honda figures out an AWD variant with Hybrid attached to bring more performance. Anything over 300hp on the front axel is nuts.

@@jonathankleinow2073 It's by far the worst engine they've ever made. Oil dilution (yes it still exists despite what fanboys tell you), bad injectors, very vulnerable to rodent damage, lots of turbo failures... By far the worst problem they have though is the head gaskets, which flake out on every single engine. They made the head bolts about as strong as a number two pencil.

One small correction: The current Civic has two USB-A ports in front, not just one. They did update them from USB-A to USB-C, but it appears they actually removed the USB ports altogether from the rear seats, even on the Sport Touring trim.

I stopped by to get Camry hybrid at dealership, price went near 39k just for SE after adding available option & everything. It's not XLE or XSE, I found it very expensive. I hope i can get Civic hybrid under 32k, would be a great. It has all i need

Why is this not the same hybrid system that's used in the civic in Europe? That car uses the electric motor as the main way to get around and uses the engine as a generator. Why is that not being done here? That would be more efficient and probably cheaper to sell?

Honda is pushing the civic more than the accord. While the civic is a nice entry sedan but I don’t understand why they shortchanged the Accord in power and then give the civic power so similar to the current accord. Great Review Mike and great at explaining all the new stuff. Bless you brother

Accord is still the more premium option with roomier back seat, you don’t get 12.3 inch screen in the civic, no cool seats, no HUD, no lumbar support, no memory seat setting, no rear USB charge ports, and no rear air vents.

I wish it would have been an available option two years ago. No ac vents in the rear. It's a small car. Aftermarket fix. That kit will also come with the USB ports. No fog lamps. Nobody cares. They fixed the grill on the sedan. Appreciate that. Europe only gets 181hp & less twist than we get. They are steaming over it too. No more loose level three pedal pushing fun. Still going to offer a basic base for basic needs. At least for now. Honda sold 133.000 civics in the US in 2022. Less than half of a normal year. (C19) I have one of those 133,000 civics. A sport touring. They were all but impossible to find. Thank you Jesus. It's not ever going to end up at Barrett-Jackson. But I feel like I got something a little special. Wife named it White Ice. I thought it was apropos.

Unfortunately, Honda decided to cookie-cut the hybrid: no rear vents, usb, soft upper door trim, and no power liftgate, lumbar support, heated steering wheel, vented seats, pano roof, or 360 view screen. Honda did this for maximum profits, not thinking about 2025 American buyers

Perhaps 2.0L cost less to produce since it doesn’t need turbo, and you know people don’t care whether it’s 1.5T or 2.0L, if they want slow civic, get 2.0L, if they want more powerful one, they get the hybrid.

Not as reliable... If you don't change your oil at 5k mile or less intervals you will most definitely need a new turbo around 100k. If you really neglect those oil changes there will be so much sludge in the car that it will just keep starving turbos of oil. We had a Civic go through two turbos before we told the customer they need a new engine.
