this is the tutorial i need!
@manictiger3 жыл бұрын
This is definitely competent-sounding. I have to say though, if you want actual soul in the song, you'll want to do more than just have 4 bars of the same stuff, 4 bars of the next same stuff. Consider triplets and other "fills". Make it sound like there's a drummer playing it. Personally, I like to structure stuff inside the sequencer, and then chop it up in the timeline, making it easier to mess with the entire beat structure of the riff with ease. I also tend to borrow other drum loops, then just chop it up to do what I want. Effort in doesn't always equal effort out. All the effort should go into arranging, not making drum loops that other people did a better job making.
@SoulStar03 жыл бұрын
Well said. Thanks for the advice. Definitely gonna take it into consideration. Note: I think the guy didn't put as much effort into arranging because this tutorial was there for beginners who just wanted to get at least something down that sounds decent. He didn't use other loops as well because they already pre-made them for the video and added them to the sample pack.
@juanrojas75052 жыл бұрын
@@SoulStar0 right, it is a not a complete process, it is for beginners ..he said at first and repeated at the end of the video..but probably intermediate users also found a great amount of value in the content. They are sharing knowledge and we are the ones who search for it.....

25:55 an alternate way is copy and pasting one of your patterns or melodies and just simply edit it from there. Especially with bass sense most the time the bass is a copy of one of the patterns.

Shocking that in each track you can't gain stage accurately in FL. Where is the dbfs numbers? E.g how much I reduce by, and also the true peak of each track? I think I will upgrade my macbook and stick to Logic rather than switch to FL on my PC now.
@caris_37 Жыл бұрын
Just use dp meter or something similar for that..and you can just change the view of fhe mixer to see dfbs. For lufs just take a plugin like dp_meter at the master stage, like most engineers do anyway
