Honestly kinda disappointing considering how well Hyundai have been doing lately. This just feels the same as Apple launching a “new” phone every year

I'm really sad that the range of i30 is now so limited, always loved the Nline as a warm hatch, adored the i20n and i30n, but felt the standard i30 gave us a brilliant A to B option, especially if you're not at all interested in SUVs. Sad too that the Nline is not quite the entry level hottie it used to be. Excellent review guys 😊

@CarSauce : Hyundai deleted the 7 speaker infinity sound system and cooled seats which were available in the previous version of it 😔

I paid 5k more for a Kona N Line Premium AWD 1.6L (drive away) and it appears to be so much nicer for not much more price wise. Very strange to have this package with some omissions that make you scratch your head in wonder. Great review as always gentlemen.

Can Daddy Jacob be the driver and Daddy Mat be the passenger? It would be a cool thing to see now and then.

Let's address the elephant in the room have Hyundai sorted out there GDI engs or are they still likely to experience catastrophic failure post warranty then your up for a all mighty battle to get the eng replaced when they reject your claim

If you brought a 2018 N-Line Premium & wanted to upgrade to the newer model after almost 7 years of ownership. For a $20k - $25k change over price. You are going to feel massively short changed. And even feel like going backwards.. Where has 7 years of improvement gone??? With all the "N" badging it has, is devaluing the "N" brand. As a previous owner of a 2017 PD manual SR (as it was called before using the N-Line badging) with doing almost 110,000 ks in my 5 years of ownership. I found it very reliable with no problems at all. But I just don't see anything at all at what this "new" model is giving. This new 1.5lt in Real World conditions won't be as frugal as claimed on fuel as the previous 1.6lt. I regularly was getting 5.1lt - 5.5lt per 100ks on my trip to work.

looks the same old i30s from 2021. Would rather get a Cupra leon, more unique, not common and a headturner hatch

Took one for a drive. Then took a 2023 n line premium for a drive . Went with the latter , had only 15000 kays plus a better sound system panoramic roof and heated and cooled seats. Plus a spare wheel.

I've got the 2023 i30 base with the 2L engine which now has more power than this new N-line (120Kw) and honestly i would rather my car over this, dont get me wrong, there are bits and pieces i would take off the new N-line and put on mine as its a good looking car compared to a corolla. But for the price, Hyundai have potentioaly locked themselves out of the new cheap hatch market that some P plate buyers, rental car fleets, and companies are looking for, and you got to rember this platform is now 7 YEARS OLD!!! so do you buy now or wait for the inevitablere-design?

If it had more power than the old model, I'd look at it but at that price and with less power it's a miss. Really sad though. Ripper of a car.
