If you need help with a mindset shift about the travel funds - remember that you could be investing that money! It is sitting there losing value to inflation because of a specific need. When you don't use it- it's kind of a waste. Maybe you could halve your sinking fund to use as backup when traveling, and replenish it following a trip if it's used. And just invest the other half now? Just a thought!
