@operadad5523 ай бұрын
@@TheNerdLogicGarage yeah, it’s funny. I got the Passat for the stick and the MPGs, but when I had to replace it due to a fuel pump that spread metal shavings through the entire fuel system -at 155k miles- I wanted to replace it with the closest experience of torque that I had gotten used to. The GLIhad the stick, the torque, and a sunroof (which I did want). To my surprise I found out after I bought it that it was formerly owned by someone who modified it, including a tune. Alas, the car was so fun to drive, I kept it. Of course the MPGs are a bit lower now. Yes, it can get 35 MPG-but… it has about 320 HP and 350 ft lbs of torque (after the upgraded clutch)…and that is not a recipe for good mileage. Still, if something goes wrong with this car I know exactly what will be replacing it.

would you recommend going for the S or the Sport? the Sport has a $2,500 VW rebate from Nov-Dec each year, but the S only gets $1,000. that being said, the price difference between the two is under $1,300, so the Sport you can technically get a better deal on and would probably be more likely to have a dealer discount on/more negotiable price because they keep so many in stock. just not sure how much more it would be on insurance and how much worse it rides than the S, what is your recommendation?
@TheNerdLogicGarage28 күн бұрын
The sport and S don’t have any difference in ride quality. The ride is so smooth that it doesn’t matter which model you go with. I’ve seen a lot of S and SELs but not a whole lot of Sports on the road which is surprising. I have 3 VWs at the house, and the ‘25 rides the smoothest out of them all. It’s super quiet ride (without a roof rack installed), and it just feels smooth and sturdy. My wife has a ‘23 Atlas and she loves driving my car even though it’s a lot smaller lol. I say go for the sport if you like the black accents because the s and SEL all have silver accents. Let me know what you go with!
@barbz_zayne28 күн бұрын
i would love to have the Sport, i still need to test drive both, but i have noticed a nationwide trend in the last month of VW dealers taking 3-4K off the outgoing '24 Jetta Sport & about 2-3K for the S, plus the VW 2,500 incentive on the Sport and 1K on the S, so if i can get that good of a deal on a Sport, i'll most likely end up going for that in Silver or Monterey Blue. if i can get that kind of deal sometime thru this year, i'll do that, but if i have to, i'll wait for Black Friday or very early December to pull the trigger. thank you so much for your quick reply, i appreciate it!
@TheNerdLogicGarage28 күн бұрын
All dealers are trying to get rid of their ‘24s since it’s the outgoing models. I couldn’t bought a ‘24 GLi for the same price if not cheaper than a ‘25 Jetta sport, but I wanted the new facelift (mk7.75). If you can hold off until October, the ‘25s will be even more discounted.
@barbz_zayne28 күн бұрын
that's probably what i will do. i also remember VW having a spring sales event that lasted from April-May with similar discounts. still, prices will probably be much more negotiable closer to the end of the year.

You came to my page to call my car junk? Lmfao. Never owned a Honda. Never will. Have a great day bud! Hope your life gets a little better instead of talking shit about people’s cars. BTW in case you didn’t know that’s what Volkswagen translates to. The more you know 💫

ugly car imo 19-21 and 22-24 are better

@@RooseveltTruong Even though you’re dead wrong, that’s your opinion and I can respect your opinion. I had a ‘19 R-Line and a ‘22 Passat and they were very close in appearance. The ‘25s are much better looking, and more “aggressive” looking if you will. The front harkens back to the look of the MKIV Boser hoods.
