“Megjournals” is having a January junk journal challenge. There are a lot of influencers participating. The envelope challenge sounds interesting. Maybe you could put your own twist on it with envelopes and use the prompts that way. IDK. Make an envelope journal. I’m following “Faith Art Journal” and doing a religious journal, with quotes and things. Cute junk mail pocket you made!

I'm not sure exactly how it works but if you use that hashtag you can see all the makes. it may not work on youtube but i thought i would mention it. hope my rambling made some kind of sense lol... I just finished making one of your junk mail pockets... it's so cute... 😊

@hunnyprice9824 awesome! I've thought about Facebook, that's probably the easiest for everyone, but some of the groups I've been in, I just think are too "moderated " is that the right word? I don't want to have to filter hateful comments, or content. Or add/ delete people. I love the viewers who consent to me (like you). I don't want everything to have to be so watched. I used to crochet and really loved it, but I have arthritis in my hands now and I think it would bother me. I like to use the paper parts of junk envelopes and glue them to cardstock flyers. Then I make tags out of them. The parts of the envelopes with windows can be glued to pages in journals as pockets. I'm up for a challenge like that or a swap like that!!!!

Wonderful! I think I need to do some research on a"challenge". I don't have a Facebook group, nor do I want. Have you done one before?? I think my mouth is bigger than my knowledge! 😆 my grandson and I were talking about it, and we're thinking maybe if creators don't have a KZbin, they can email photos, or ideas, and I can relay in weekly video?? I don't know. Ideas??

@@CraftedByChristyShop I"m not knowledgeable about such things, either, but I do like the idea of folks emailing you pix and descriptions and then making that into a video. Or what about just using the Community tab on KZbin? Of course your fellow KZbinrs can do their own projects and use the hashtag. I'd say keep it simple. I would definitely, definitely do at least a couple of projects over the course of a month, and I like the idea of limiting the timeframe like that. Agreed, I don't have a Facebook group and won't do one. I rarely used Facebook at all except to keep up with a few relatives. It'll be fun and not a huge commitment for anyone. Just fun learning and reminder to use up that junk mail - so versatile! Great idea!

I would do this challenge 100% During the week I would work on it and at the end of the month I would bind it all into a journal constructed from my junk too. I just made a journal cover placing plastic (candy bags, Clorox label…etc.) between cereal liners) and it turned out so cool. It’s so funny that you are mentioning this because I was doing the same thing with plastic. Haha. My group is partial to making JJ out of pure junk. Love your channel so much!

Your junk mail pocket is awesome. I love the challenge idea. I am going to be making monthly daily planners. I want to use mostly junk mail and packaging for my substrate for my signatures and elements. Love being challenged. Happy creating.

I think your channel doesn't like me too much, lol, again, it's not letting me post, hmmm. 🤨 Tried yesterday, so another attempt today, honestly, I think it just hasta take a break from laughing at what I write, then forgets to continue with the post 🤔.... it could happen 😂🤣😂 I love how your pocket turned out and I love using junk mail. 💜💜💜 Even if using a digital or scrapbook paper, (90% of my scrapbook paper was bought at resale shops, so I consider it "junk", lol, as someone thought it was so they were getting rid of it 😊) I use as much "junk" mail as possible. While going through all my "junk/crap" lol, this summer, I coffee dyed 3 good size boxes of it, as I want to make Bonnie's junk mail paper roll, to make journaling pages/signatures out of. I've never done a challenge, but would certainly watch. I don't see that you have a Facebook group?? It would be awesome to see what everyone comes up with, and the problem with KZbin is you can't add a picture to your comment. Ok... time to hit the "comment" button... fingers crossed, lol 🤞🥴

Then at the end of the month, use all the leftover to create the book, and fill with ephemera we made through the month. What do you think?
