This changes my impression of Kia. Looks like a good deal

Kia has certainly come a VERY long way!

If you price the top trim with tech package it comes to 30k with destination fees so very approachable in this day and age of car prices especially if you get a mid range version it’s a good bang for the buck

Wow man I'm REALLY impressed with the K4 especially the GT-Line Turbo, the interior quality is so much better than the Civic SI and I'm a Honda guy myself.

Good comprehensive review. I'm personally waiting on the release of the K4 hatchback/wagon. From the Korean press photos, it's much more attractive than the sedan. 😮

Wow you are moving up in the review would! Maybe some time in the future you’ll be in a redline alex auto or tfl video and put your name out there for the masses!?!!

I did get to meet Sofyan and Nick from Auto Buyers Guide, among other big creators. It was a great trip that I think opened a lot of doors for me. Everyone was very welcoming and had great advice to give. Definitely looking forward to some collaborations in the future!

do they have ambient lighting"? wow the number plate and reverse now LEDs factory.... The only worry is the dials in the screen for aircon if the system malfunctions then no aircon for you till fix... which is a bit of a concern. I hope not in the future if you keep the car for 10 years. glovebox no LEDs lol...I will see if come to Australia Feb 2025

The top trim GT-Line Turbo has interior ambient lighting, and the colors can change too!
@許竤惞28 күн бұрын
@@OpticalAutomotive is the same as Nline's top trim Kona. I love the door pad handle, and the ambient light is quite dimmed compared to K4. thx for your response, love your review, my question about the front seat is, how does the front seat cover the headrest, my opinion is that is too much, and there is a better design like a Sportage facelift front seats with a walk-in buttons
@dub88acc23 күн бұрын
In the states you should mention that this only comes with tech pkg. Might be limited model elsewhere. Standard gt line turbo does not come with it or 360 camera or ventilated seats.
@許竤惞23 күн бұрын
@@dub88acc In the Australian market, if you choose GTLine turbo, you get all the tech package. GTLine 2.0 non-turbo gets what American spec has without a tech package. That is the difference. The interior might have slight differences as the right-hand drive. thx for the response... love your review

So K4 has ambient lighting but the K5 doesn't? Makes no sense
@gravehunterofficial28 күн бұрын
Not all K4 trim levels have wireless phone charging. Wireless charging starts on the EX level; the lower two levels, LX and LXS, do not have wireless phone charging.
@OpticalAutomotive28 күн бұрын
Meant to say wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on all trims
@danielhartin7680Ай бұрын
Great review. Just gotta pay attention, the two trim level units presented here are the same color.
@OpticalAutomotiveАй бұрын
Same color and similar trim level names can definitely be confusing. I tried my best to label the more specific points of comparison. Thanks for watching Daniel!

I don’t think that this has more rear seat space then a civic, do you remember when you drove the hybrid?
@OpticalAutomotiveАй бұрын
I haven’t driven the 2025 Civic yet, just the Integra. But it looks like the Civic has 37.4 in the rear and the K4 just beats it with 38 inches of legroom
@Hi-how-are-you-today.Ай бұрын
@@OpticalAutomotive didn’t you get in the civic hybrid? Like 2-3 months ago? And if you remember which felt more roomy ( because .6 of an inch is not going to do that much) not by numbers but by feel?
@OpticalAutomotiveАй бұрын
Oh right, I did a walkaround at the dealer on the Civic hybrid. Hopefully Honda will send me one this year 🤞🏼
@Hi-how-are-you-today.Ай бұрын

Yeah, it’s similar to my 2016 Civic. More than enough room

The sedan design just doesnt impress me at all. Maybe the hatchback might do justice. To me, they shoulda kept the 201hp turbo engine from the Forte Gt

Please, auto makers, stop going cheap and using the same wide, ugly, boring screen as the primary instrument display. We get it, it's cheap and increases profits but, my God, is it generic and ugly. If I want to stare at a screen I'll stay on my computer.
@rafal405226 күн бұрын

It drops into a lower gear that is why the RPM went up.
