I love these type of vids and sitting with my 8.5yo kiddo to watch them!

I have an 11&10yo as well as coach in Little League. And I have a bit of experience in USA and I receive bats to review, though I buy the Louisvilles and Bonesabers. My 11yo best hit was 61.7mph 255ft with a USA -Select and 64.7 253ft with a USSSA -8 Select. My 10yo is 56.4mph 188ft with a -10 Bone Saber Hybrid and 62.1mph 247ft with a broken in Orange Meta -10. Had a ADV and though they both hot 140+ft the exit velos for both were sub 50s. The Icon has power but stings, the Prime is only a couple of miles under the Select and swings much lighter. Usssa composites just crush. In Usa the top bats from my experience are the Bone Saber Hybrid>Select>Prime>Icon>Connect>Beast X>Ghost X>ADV360 Usssa Hype>Tank>Icon>Cat9/Orange/white Meta

What leagues can you use the USSSA bats? I know little league only allows USA bats. My son wants to move up to teener baseball league.

When you add the usssa catx2, you should try to add the usssa 2025 icon, drop 10 should be out soon!

half of the kids on my son's team have the Hype... question: we were at the store looking at bats and my son thinks the barrel on the catx is much shorter than the hype or the icon. Thoughts? And I just saw a new batting aid product that you may have an opinion onor willing to do a review on. I won't say the product here as I don't want to give them "free" advertsing..

My son did not make the traveling team. It was his first time trying out and he was smoking hits to the outfield with his USA 5150 bat. All the other players that played travel league last year had usssa hype fires. I counted 8 of them. I just don’t think they should be allowed to evaluate players. I am not going to by a bat that is ban by a few leagues just to get in travel program. I told him we will focus on strength and skill learning on the off season. It is annoying that it came to equipment and money

Well hitting for distance is not the only thing that a coach would evaluate. How did he do fielding? How did he do throwing he throw dots? Or have a few wild ones? How was his attitude? Blaming one aspect of equipment on needing to work more. Is NOT doing your kid any good. My son has always been the smallest kid who is picked towards the bottom. Halfway thru the season with hardly any strikeouts, very few walks from the mound and throwing dots from 3rd ans short......... he earns his spot near the top. I'm talking starts batting 8th , 5 games in he's the #2 hitter. Just work with tour kid to make him better don't let him use excuses that whats wrong with the world today

I have a team... I'll tell you this... I know the difference between the bats. If I have a kid tryout and he's using a USA bat... I take that into account.
@Danimal.695 ай бұрын
@@JustinBurgan-qw1dn I got his evaluations back. He was number 1# out of 75 in pitching velocity at 61mph and number 1# in the outfield at 63mph. His exit velocity was 33# at 46mph with top velo of 54mph. So things I can think about is that players who where in travel ball previously get bumped up. I think the program does not want to lose the players. Or he is playing in position that a lot of Dads (“coaches”) want their sons to play. In the end of the day, I think we are going to choose a different path by joining a training facility. He is only 12 so doing traveling team all year round might not be as productive as having an off season to get better. Plus I would like for him to enjoy sports and play it in high school, burning him out would suck.
@JustinBurgan-qw1dn5 ай бұрын
@@Danimal.69 oh well if you know he ranked then it's obvious. I also will say this.... If kids/families want to come back and play on our team again... They get a little bonus points if you will. There's teams out there who like to keep their players and others who try to compete at the highest level and they will replace players as necessary. You must have tried out for a team that's trying to keep their players. You're on the right path it sounds like. The skill will show at the end of the day. Just have him as athletic as possible and by high school he should be golden.

@@JustinBurgan-qw1dn what upset me is not my situation but all the kids that will walk away from baseball. Accessibility to improving in baseball after 12 u becomes harder. I don’t quit nor does my son, but I can can see a lot of late bloomers walking away.
