My wife had a 17 GLE 350 with the silky smooth NA 6 cylinder engine and that vehicle was flawless. In 2020 went to the Lincoln Aviator and the reliability was horrendous. When we looked in 2022 we test drove a 350 and she turned to me and said “ this engine is horrible” we then went to Audi and she loves her 22 SQ5

Nice choice! My family went from a 3.0 supercharged Q5 2015 to a 25 X5 Xdrive40i. We test drove the new Mercedes GLE 450 and we weren’t impressed

11:55 The fact that the rear seats don't even have a manual recline standard when the previous generation ML/ GLE had it makes zero sense. It seems like they took out the manual recline lever to force you to get their tight third row package just to get power reclining second row seats. For how much this GLE costs, it doesn't have manually reclining rear seats, cooled rear seats, or power side window shades like the GV80. I thought Mercedes was supposed to be "the best or nothing" in terms of comfort, but it seems like they forget about second row comfort & only prioritize first row comfort

A bare bones GLE 350 under $65K is a decent value proposition. Tacking on a few options and getting close to $80k for a 4cyl is a tough pill to swallow.

I love a Mercedes and on my 3rd one , I’m finding that making six figures , I’m still out of the league for a brand new one with options I feel a luxury car should have. Being single , I’m still not willing to spend more than I should to win another one. It’s a “ club” and when you compare other products , they offer more options for less money , tho the market is just getting crazy for new car prices. Most Toyotas in the SUV class are pushing over the $50,000 mark. I think it’s time to consider a Lexus or Audi products …. Or just drive a Land Cruiser for the next 20 years ugh ..!!!

Which car do you think is more solid (interior wise) and reliable - the GLE or X5? I have heard the X5 is running circles around the GLE both in sales and quality/reliability. Just curious what you think considering you drive them a lot. I was thinking the GLE580 vs. X5 M60i - I would never get a 4-cyclinder lol!

4 cylinders 2.0t for $70k is nut. I don't see any reason why you don't get an X5 over this. You literally get better powertrain and better tech, unless you just want the badge

Much cheaper to get "basic" luxury features for these kinds of brand like heated seats and heads up display. 5AU is one of the best L2 assisted drive with hands free you can get in the market. People who buys GLE350 just dont know car

First of all, their leatherette options often now look & feel identical to leather without a noticeable difference. Second of all, they both offer inline-6 turbos, not a V6. The inline-6 turbo engine is standard on the X5 but it comes with the GLE 450 since the 350 has an inline turbo-4 engine. Third, why do they have to be the one to get it for you 😂? If you want it then you should be able to afford it to lease or buy it for yourself. Why would want to be dependent on them for that?

While nice it’s very… boring in a sense. Unlike the GV80 and X5 this doesn’t really have a wow factor to it like you may get out of those vehicles. Yes it’s clean but not very impressive in terms of features that can distinguish this from the 2.

@@Ryan2022I don’t agree. The Mercedes interior wasn’t the best, and also I sat inside of one in a showroom and pressed on the trim pieces, and it was creaking. It was a 450 coupe, priced at 81k. For 81k, that’s not what I’d want. I really don’t like the GLE. I’ve driven an X5 and it’s great.

@@SaumyaJ13 I’ve test driven the TX a few times the base motor is garbage no one near as good as the Mercedes base motor. You gotta get the hybrid on the TX to make it a decent vehicle. I feel the same about the bins. 450 is the real deal as far as power. The TX interior is pleasant and well put together with virtually no luxury. The GLE is much more luxurious inside with real wood and metal and great overall design. The RX is a nice vehicle, but I felt the Benz was nicer. The TX is something my wife is interested in so that’s why I was test driving that with her and the salesman.
