The new 2 door hardtop looks good in person. I know a lot of people prefer the F56 interior and I was in that camp as well. But seeing the F66 in the flesh changed my mind. It’s really a nice car.

I’ve always been intrigued by the Mini. You chose the perfect word to describe them…quirky. But in a good way. I think it would be fun to drive one. I wonder how they do on the interstate. Overall, a fun car that looks good! 👍

I test drove the 2025 Cooper S a few days ago. I liked it. Good acceleration. Generally fun. Downsides were the noisy HVAC and the vescin material on the seats, which I found to be rough and grabby on my clothes. Real leather would have been better.

Yeah it's an overall nice car. Seems felt fine to me. Not sure if real leather is available or not

Paddle shifters are available in higher equpment tiers, at least in Poland. Indeed this is a gorgeous car, I've already ordered a Cooper S with JCW trim. I havent driven previous generations of the mini, but the suspension on this one handles bumps very good and it's quiet inside. It's also stiff and sporty on the corners with TONS of grip which makes it a perfect daily, if you don't carry to much ;)

Also, compared to an Audi A1, MINI feels much more premium (despite the interior plastics looking like a toyota on pics and vids). A plus for the A1 - it has still good old buttons for key kar function like air conditioning, but the MINI has newer and better technology.

I think they made these new ones very simple looking which is probably part of the funky design. The screen is the focal point. Felt nice tho

In my honest opinion, the center screen in the new F66 3-door Mini Hatch, F65 5-door Mini Hatch and J01 battery electric Mini Hatch looks so Ineos Grenadier like.

Well that car has BMW electronics as does the Mini. So they are are shared parts in general

Not only no manual, but you can’t even get paddle shifters in the US until the full JCW comes. What a shame. MINI is basically dead, glad I bought my F56 manual JCW last year.

Just took a look on this. The hood stripes are an add on you can get on all trims. the pin stripes don't show up as an option (that I can find on the builder) online, but I think they can be added if asked at the dealership.

Way way way too much technology on that round screen! Can’t use phones when driving, but we can use a whole android tablet mounted to the dash, it’s insanity to me personally. So many menus and sub menus to dive into, just to get climate control to your temperature preference and such. Love MINI’s, but the F66 is a bit much. “Improved” in the wrong areas, and over complicated where it should be easy. I experienced one in person a few days ago and was a bit let down.

I don't know how they do it, but each generation of the Mini since the first BMW Mini has gotten uglier. The interior of this one is the worst of all. Well, the first one was worse, but that was more than twenty years ago. And not even having a gear lever, even though it's an automatic, is ridiculous. Since they've taken away the manual transmission, they could at least leave a small lever to shift gears as you like.
