@TheBeehivePaddock this is something I've wanted to say for a while but I feel like Jack Miller is a more modern Chris Vermulen, they both were fast in the wet arguably two of the best wet riders we've seen, and have/did at times in their peaks that they had race winning pace. No relation just a werid thing I noticed

I got to ride with Angel Piqueras a couple weeks ago in Spain on the same track, nice to see him mentioned here. Arbolino and Borja Gomez were also there, all really cool and crazy fast guys. Just watching them ride is amazing.

With the calendar moving around a lot this year, we're pretty nailed on to have more wet races than usual. Silverstone is in May instead of August, so we're guaranteed 10 degrees and light rain for that one. Phillip Island at end of October, Argentina in early March, Japan at end of September and Malaysia any time of year.
@mbp21126 күн бұрын
Solid take, man, and one I hadn't considered. I wonder if the Japanese teams will put extra emphasis on wet weather testing with some of the track time they get in an effort to steal some points. Of course, schedule shenanigans are always on the table too, cancellations and other weirdness in new venues like Brno and Hungary.
@tdyerwestfield6 күн бұрын
@ Never know with Argentina either. They cancelled around this time in 2023 and then disappeared last year. Termas is my favourite circuit on the calendar.

Glad my takes made it to the video! A bit of background on why I hold Chantra in such high esteem: he's shown glimpses of incredible speed here and there. Maybe not last year, but I'm with Jorge Lorenzo on this one. He can be fast, he is potentially fast but there's always something. I usually go with consistent riders like Pecco or Lawson, but (heresy incoming) Chantra is a tiny little bit of a Schwantz. He has the talent, he has the speed, but he's incosistent as Jell-o. Or a less extreme example: Andrea Iannone. Or John Kocinski. Why do people keep on listing as favourites talented riders who didn't achieve as much as their raw talent would deserve? This is the Schwantz / Lawson choice but on a smaller scale, but truth be told, maybe Chantra´s best moments have passed and he's in MotoGP only to have a miserable sesason...
@TheBeehivePaddock6 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I do like this view, and I hope Chantra is able to show his talent off properly because he clearly has it, but in terms of ROTY this year, I think consistency matters a lot. That being said I really hope he sticks around long enough to get off the Honda or until Honda gets a little better so we can see what he can really do!

I would not rule out Bagnaia's chances. He's a very solid rider and if he's more consistent, can corral many more points. BTW, kudos on pronouncing his bame correctly.

Cool spin on predictions format of videos! My own completely serious and not delusional take is championship ending with 1 Acosta 2 bagnaia 3 bezzecchi And fermin as rookie of the year of course. Also somehow i never see community posts even tho i have notifs on which is very homophobic of KZbin icl And today's random metric of the video is 39 embroidered letters! Sadly there probably gonna be this one for next few because i have huge project but I'll try to speed run for it to at least be different amounts lmao

Marquez not even in the top 3 is a spicy hot take! I wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest if this is how things shook out this year though! 39 letters in less than 20 minutes is pretty crazy though, I assume as you do more and more the rate will increase too.
@paco.28666 күн бұрын
Nice video, keep up with the content. In terms of predictions, i believe that marc marquez will win the motogp championship, in moto 2 the winner is either aron canet or tony arbolino (the last one depends if he gets his mind right) even celestino vietti have a chance if he adapts well to the boscoscuro, finally in moto 3, is either Rueda or Piqueras.

In Moto3, my championship dark horse is always David Munoz, he reminds me a lot of MM93, a real take-no-prisoners kind of rider. If he can keep his head out of his ass he could be a contender. Speaking of MM, he and Alex are repping a young Spaniard named Maximo Quiles who is going to be a Moto3 rookie this year, and he looks to be another handful.
@TheBeehivePaddock6 күн бұрын
Munoz was one of my top choices! He looked super consistent this past year, and I'm hoping he can take another step this year and be a contender. I'll admit I don't really keep up with the JuniorGP / RBR stuff very much, but I have heard great things about Quiles and also Carpo, so I think rookie of the year in Moto3 could be pretty fun this year.

This is going to be my Prediction for 2025 MotoGP World Championship, I'll be using a classification and add a spacing to predict the competition amongst the riders. 1. Bagnaia 2. Marquez You can swap their position since only either of them to win the championship but I think the title will be decided on Sunday at Valencia with at least 5 points separated between them. 3. Martin 4. Di Giannantonio 5. Binder 6. Acosta Factory KTM riders can outperform their bike with their skills, so they will be in the mix to fight for 3rd, but they will fall short competing against both defending world champion in Jorge Martin and the most exciting factory supported Ducati rider in Fabio Di Giannantonio. 7. Bezzecchi 8. A. Marquez 9. Morbidelli Alex Marquez will improve his season and will stay another year in this team but he will be no better than Bezzecchi who will also show a promising form in his new Aprilia bike, Morbidelli will be in the mix for 7th but Alex Marquez will score few points more than his point tally. 10. Quartararo 11. Bastianini 12. Viñales New KTM signings will struggle despite the talents they got, Fabio Quartararo will be the better rider in the end of the standings. 13. Oliveira 14. Rins 15. Miller 16. Aldeguer 17. Fernandez 18. Zarco 19. Ogura This one is a lot tougher to predict but I can't put them below honda riders sometimes. 20. Mir 21. Marini 22. Chantra I might be so harsh on them but this is how it's going to be anyways.

And I would agree with Stoner!! aero, and all the other rider aids have been to the detriment to the quality of the racing ? in my opinion. Drop ride height devices, ABS, and limits on traction control and aero?
@TheBeehivePaddock6 күн бұрын
In 2027 they’re banning ride height devices and limiting static aero. I don’t mind traction control but pretty much every other electronic aid can be limited and it wouldn’t bother me a bit

My biggest hot take which honestly isn't even really a hot take it's more or less a grounded prediction with tempered expectations, but Marc isn't going to get his 9th this season. Marc is my FAVORITE rider and the reason I like MotoGP in the first place, but it ain't happening. Edit: I'm speaking in terms of last season here, but on the topic of Franco and by proxy, Digi, VR46 and Pramac, I think Franco should have been moved to VR46 to begin with and Digi to Pramac. It was always a weird move in my mind 'cause both riders were in jeopardy of not having seat and it just seemed like it would make more sense to move Franco to VR46 given his connection with the team and Digi to Pramac given his performance in 2023. I don't want to be a dick and I know the Franco fans will constantly bring up the bits about him not being able to test the bike, injury and blah, blah, blah, but the bike was honestly wasted on him.
@Top_gear20216 күн бұрын
Yeah, it'll take time for him to adjust and pecco is at the peak of his powers.
@TheBeehivePaddock6 күн бұрын
I think it'll be really close, calling Pecco or Marc is basically a coin flip imo, but I chose my side and I'm standing firm. In hindsight, yeah Digi probably could've done more with the GP24 than Morbidelli did, but I can respect the decision to try and recreate Morbidelli's 2020 performance again, even if it ultimately failed.

Without getting into the events of each season individually, I would say probably the biggest changes are the bikes. Ducati is now incredibly far ahead of everyone else, to the point where nobody not on a Ducati has really been competitive for a title since 2022. Yamaha and Honda on the other hand are STRUGGLING, they can't get anything done right now. Marc Marquez had a rough few years but last year he switched to Ducati and is now on the factory team and looking for another title competing with Francesco Bagnaia this season. Other than that, I'd say the big news is they're once again changing the bike specs in 2027, switching MotoGP to 850cc among other changes to things like aerodynamics and fuel.

My 2025 MotoGP Predictions - Jorge Martin will win a race before MM93. - Fabio Quartararo will make a comeback and win a race, possibly achieving a podium at Le Mans. - Pedro Acosta will not win a race yet. - Similar to last year, the championship winner will have more sprint race victories and fewer official race wins. - Yamaha will earn more championship points than KTM. - This will be the last championship for Joan Mir. - Marco Bezzecchi will win at Silverstone. - The championship title will be decided not at the last race, but most likely in Japan. - Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia will take each other out in a race for the lead. - Enea Bastianini will score more points than Maverick Viñales. - Acosta will sign with Yamaha instead of Álex Rins for next year. - Pecco will reclaim the championship title.

I hope to see KTMs and Aprilla more on the top step, more likely this season than any so far. But for KTM, my hot take prediction is that Vinales will be the worst performing KTM. He overall been too inconsistent on every bike he's been on, underperforming majority of the time in my opinion, he should be stronger than he is, and he has that capability. He's fast but he needs to dial in the consistency to beat his fellow KTM riders who have all demonstrated how strong they are
