Howdy Matt! I agree. My favorite pastime growing up was walking the riverbed near my house. Hot, cold, didn't matter. Sometimes I found cool things Sometimes not but I was lost in nature without a care. It was great!! Thanks for your time!

At 19:00 is that a sail boat mast? So many weights and lures 😮 That item that looks like a dragon head to you, made me think of an alligator head 😂 So many best finds on chilly and decent days alike!! I agree with the going on the search in an area that you really enjoy. I have that peaceful feeling while I'm creek hunting and bottle digging. I need to get my Nox plugged in to charge. I really need to metal detect some more.

Happy new year Mat! The base metals commonly used silver plating are copper, brass, or nickel. Nickel silver was the most common and least expensive to be used for silver plated though. I’ve never seen such a worn down piece of silverware than that copper piece, but that is what rolling around in the sand can do.

Happy New Year to you and your family. I love the knife handle and metal corner leg. Good to find a marble, Mud-bagger was on a role the other day finding loads of marbles with the low tide. It always amazes me how many marbles have been lost or dumped over the years, and in many countries too.

Hi Matt I enjoyed your fossick around the waterways. Can you tell me what the birds were, ducks or geese? About 3 weeks ago it was reported in our news the strange drones flying around the New Jersey skys. The news said no one knows whether they were of a private source or not. Pleasently cold where you are! We are having some heatwaves, 39 C today.
