We have almost no closets either. I inherited a storage bench we use at the kitchen table and it houses a fair few of my small appliances. Helps a ton!

most of your shelf stable items are best by dates-they do not actually expire but yhes, you do need to wok through the food. Just do not throw them away unless they have bugs in them. They are NOT expired. That date is for the grocery stores.

I love a good pantry challenge. Im working on one myself with similar rules as an effort to save money in January. Good luck!
