I wish I had said more clearly in the video that the things that might be disadvantages for me could still be great features for other people. 7 daily pages, for example is an amazing feature that I think a lot of people would really appreciate!

Yes! I love this video, because we all do this as we pick one, hone in on what we do and don’t need. It’s like when I read a one star review for a book and that review is like “there wasn’t enough world-building.” That might be a criticism from the reviewer, but it’s genuinely a plus in my book. And yet this video wasn’t negative at all. I think you straddled the line of “this isn’t what I want, this year, but someone else might love it” really well.

Love this video! We were considering all the same planners it sounds like. I decided to try out the Just Scribble a6! I need half hour hourly layout and i realized if i have to write my hours myself, I will get sick of it after a few weeks lol. I also dont need all 7 days, but I'm thinking of using the weekend pages for weekly reflections or other weekly tracking. The papertessdesigns planner is soooo elegant, but no hours was a deal breaker for me.

In the papertess designs b6 I love that empty space at the top! 😊 I hope she always keeps it. Lots of other planners out there that don’t have that empty space to choose from.

A6 isn’t on the website because I just added it to the lineup based on customer feedback asking for a more portable size and we don’t have a sample yet for photos. However the layout is the same and I am sharing mock-ups this month. With your layout and wanting something slim with less pages and easy to add the sections I would have gone with the Midori B6slim which comes in a horizontal size. I think it would be perfect. But glad you found what you think will work for you.

@@JustScribble oh interesting! I didn't consider Midori because I'm such a TRP person. I'll go look it up! I'm very excited for the community that you added the A6 version, I think it will be really handy for a lot of people! But I do think that if it's an option for people to buy on your website, there ought to be a mockup of at least the weekly layout. But there are plenty of people who aren't as hellbent on all design details as I am, so I might be in the minority of feeling that way. (I've been counting squares on every planner like a maniac 😬)

I love the thought process videos! I also ordered the b6 slim common planner over the weekend. I have used a nanami cafe notes bujo for several years but this year I cut down a N1 horizontal standard common planner (and just drew the Sunday box onto the top right side). I struggle a bit with using something already printed versus doing my own layouts but couldn’t pass up the horizontal b6 slim. The common planner height is a touch higher than the cafe notes so i think I’ll still need to take it to have a bit trimmed off the bottom to fit in my covers but i don’t think that will be noticeable at all.

This was such a great video idea! I’m switching from Wonderland222 to Papertess yearly because I am not taking advantage of some of the Wonderland222 features. Also, I want to reduce my stack by not having a separate book for dailies/bujo.

Try twines and paper weekbook hybrid. It has both vertical and horizontal weeklies.

So many options! If you want horizontal and vertical maybe Weekbook B6 is for you? I have looked at the same planners as you did and some more. Sterling Ink is a good option though :)

It's a design that's really interesting, but it's way more weekly space than I need. If I do another video that's "planner designs I admire" I'll put that one in it!

I absolutely love the layout of some of these planners, but white paper is an immediate no for me 😩 Moleskine planner layouts are perfect for my functional EDC (with minimal modifications), but the paper sucks 🙃 I’m trying a Hobonichi for the first time to use as a health tracker, but I don’t love the aesthetic of the inside. I’m hoping the paper quality makes up for it. The weeks cover I chose is 🔥 I think I’m too picky 😅

I've looked at the papertess weekly structured since forever but having just the horizontal layout gives me anxiety 😂😂 I'll be buying the Forest Planner for the timeline, daily dumps, weekly planning and separate journaling in the back it's perfect but undated rip

Just in case you didnt know, Aura Estelle has a weekly essential planner that doesnt have the extra 2 page spread for each week!

I like the Aura Estelle Weeks Daily. But …. I’m not happy with the days of the week layout. It is boxed up for each day instead of the horizontal layout. I would just buy a plain grid TRP notebook, undated etc and design my own. So many planner companies to choose from. Thank you for sharing.
