This was released to the public a few days ago, don't think many commenters have used it, yet.

One thing to note about the headlight. Sleds older than 2023 might not have the hood that can accept it. It uses a different mounting bracket thats 5 mounting point and they are different than the nightblade. Around MY23 they came out with hoods that can run both headlights. 22 and older they didnt. So look at the bottom side of your hood to confrim it has the extra mounting points. This new headlight actually came on the 23 & 24 cross country racer and the XC and SP sleds in 2024. It is a great headlight too, its got a vast beam patern that really lights up in front and out to the sides.

I think Polaris did a great job this year - assuming the clutch updates hold up as expected. Trail riders gotta be super stoked for getting the 9 this year!

Polaris making it hard for me not to snowcheck a Khaos 9R 155... Dang

Instead of improving the starter they should switch to skidoos SHOT start. Polaris and Skidoo should do some horse trading, so Skidoo can use the 7S with buddy tracking, and Polaris gets to use the SHOT start system.

I really want to like Polaris but I just cannot trust their quality / reliability. I know they handle well but there has just been to many issues.

No more TSS!!! Throttle cable is coated, rather than being bare steel. Also spring and mechanism is different down on the throttle bodies. Per Turcottes video brake has been re-programmed so it doesn't go into limp mode if it is actuated for too long in conjunction with the throttle being on and have to be restarted. Instead you have 5 seconds before it valves down and limits power, at which point if you fully release the brake or throttle it resets and you are good to go without having to shutdown and restart. Little worried about the new drive shaft, seems like Polaris has problems whenever the drive shaft design is changed.

Well, luckily I got a 3% raise this year even though inflation is more around 10 or 12%. Why not pay $18,000 for something I can use 3 or 4 months out of the year.
