Battery electrics which #irony Polaris does have one still en route. These are very well put together machines not that a 20 Year old Honda isn't as well but yes the expense is criminal. Not enclosed, no electronics of note, no attachments really tough sell in the current market with CF Moto out there as well.

Polaris is great at built in storage. I wouldnt mind the rear storage being blocked by something in top like another box. The reason is, i bring a bunch of emergency stuff. Im fine with remiving a lovk and ride bix in the rare need for some shackles, zip ties, or first aid stuff

if you don't care about the ride command screen ill be honest here, the cf moto 600 murders this thing on value. it has all the same features including the LED lights and power steering, comes with the winch ect. but is priced better and has a WAY better warranty in Canada

You hit a sore spot with me in the remiving the seat and having a giant hole. 🤬 Thry used to have a seat delete to fill that hole. Now if i want use the rear rack to mive stuff, hunt etc, i have a gaping hole. I bought a premium 2up and get kicked in the jewels when wanting accessories or just plain uyility use.

All the manufacturers are making nice, overpriced machines. Too bad the price isn't indicative of the reliability ! Great review though, I like the point you made about adjustable foot pegs, for shorter riders. And if Polaris is making a better more reliable machine, it will make for more sales, I for one have not bought one for that reason.

I think the redesign is really nice. The storage compartment under the rear seat is amazing. The pod with the Ride Command is pretty nice too. The price tag is rough though. At that price I would consider a 900 Trail S and go more basic. I wonder if the leg pad for the passenger is more to insulate against exhaust heat? Also, I don’t understand why the 850 is cheaper than the 570. Maybe because it hasn’t been updated yet?

Great points. Pretty sure that leg pad is to prevent rubbing and scratches to the paint by the passenger's leg. Not sure if it has any other functional purpose.

You're hitting a lot of familiar things for me with my 850. My sons girlfriend, she is short, can ride the ATV, but in the passenger position she cant reach the foot rests. She's an adult. Shirt yes, but there are lovk and ride spots on the foot rest of the 850, so why not L&R foot risers? I couldnt quite see, but it looked like maybe this machine also has a L&R hole there

Yes, they have much higher priced 850/1000 supposedly top line models. The reality, the 850/1000 tourings have become the red headed step child of polaris. They've dropped nearly all accessories, especially the obviously idiotic to drop, seat delete. And the box storage option is the grandpa looking dual boxes from 2010. Seriously, how have they failed at a universal system like Can-Am has for this long?

Nice looking ATV with some nice features, but that Polaris company makes junk in my experience. We were a Polaris family at one time. We have had 450s, 570s, 850s, and a few kids bikes. We had so many problems we got rid of everything with a Polaris label and bought Japanese ATVs. No problems so far and it’s been a couple years. So disappointed in the Polaris brand I don’t know if we would ever trust them to buy another one. Mostly small stuff breaking and not due to abuse. From what I could tell just cheap/poor quality and people at the factory slapping things together. Hope Polaris makes drastic improvements in their machines, maybe they can build trust in their products again over time.

I can get the Outlander 700 max xt for $14k, then add the snorkels for water peace of mind, an awesome saw mount and a dozen accessories and never hit $17k And lets be brutally honest, Can-Am has never been tye budget friendly brand lol As a Polaris owner, Polaris has guaranteed ill never buy another one. Absolutely embarrassing to have the audacity to ask for $15,000 American for a 570cc motor. And you expect that 570cc motor haul around two people let's just say 400 lb (182kg) of people plus gear on the front and rear racks. And Polaris wonders why they're currently having sales shortages. You can get in the United States a CF Moto c-force 1000 touring starting at $9,999. 44hp for $15,000 or 90hp for $9,999. And for 10 grand the CF Moto already comes with a 3500 pound winch 1800 lb towing and a 2 in receiver and hand guards. You get a one and a quarter inch receiver 1,350 pounds towing. Polaris has gotten too big for their britches And you guys crack me up one video you're praising yamaha's power steering as the best on the market and making fun of everybody else's multimode power steering I think it was a Can-Am four wheeler you were reviewing. And how you made fun of the multi-mode selection and that if you have to select the level of power steering you just didn't make it right where Yamaha just has one level of power steering and it's tuned perfectly fine and you praised it. Now you're saying polaris's multi-mode power steering selection is pretty neat which one is it?

@Techprep23
@Techprep23 Ай бұрын
@@joekearney CFMoto gets a bad rap because they are Chinese but the last 6 years they've made a name for themselves offering decent machines for less than everyone else. I haven't seen much in complaints from all the ATV/UTV KZbin channels out there. Most just upgrade the clutch kits in the CVT to do the riding they want. But as your basic trail riders farm use even some sport trail like riding the stock clutching will work more than adequately for most. I'm a Yamaha fan boy but CFMoto has made me think twice on more than one occasion. It really makes you stop and wonder how much is the markup on these things from canned ham and Polaris Yamaha Kawasaki and Suzuki. When other brands like CFMoto include for much less money what Other brands charge you an arm and a leg for. Yamaha wants 500 dollars for the VRX 3500 lb. Warn winch to be added on to a grizzly 700 EPS that starts a $11,399. 13k plus 500 destination fee for a grizzly. Taxes and such you're out the door for about 13,500 tax tiles destination fees. That's just ridiculous. But it's Yamaha. It'll will be the only 4-wheeler you'd ever have to buy. Your good for 30 plus years. I Still ride a 22 year old Yamaha bear tracker from 2002. Rebuild top end good to go for another 22 years. CFMoto hasn't been popular long enough to see how reliable they are. But I'd take that chance.

@@Techprep23 Yea I helped a buddy install a clutch kit on his CFMOTO Uforce 1000 SxS a year ago . They just did a service bulletin reflash on them that vastly improved the throttle and he’s super happy with it now . He got the brand new Uforce 1000 ANDDDD a 14ft tandem axle trailer with it for 18k OTD!! A equally equipped defender or XP ranger was over 18k msrp before taxes etc by themselves ! I like can am and have a 1000R outty, XRC X3, 500 outty but I agree with you the markup by the popular brands is disgusting. Can Am took a small step in the right direction with the new midsize outlanders pricing and they’re nice machines but still significantly higher than cfmoto with less accessories at each level . It’s hard to not take the chance when you get 90hp a winch and a host of other accessories for 9999$! I’ve eyeballed them closely at the dealer I got my sons kingquad 400 and they appear to honestly be built quite well , sealed compressed bushings , sturdy looking construction but like you said time will tell .
@dirttraxtv
@dirttraxtv Ай бұрын
I appreciate your comments. You are incorrect about our opinions of multi-select EPS. Yamaha's EPS is perfect for a single mode and compares closest the medium setting on Can Am's tri-mode. I like the Can Am's system and have praised it in every review I have done of a Can Am. I just wrapped my review of this unit. Don't love the EPS as much as the Can Am.
