Love your Rhipsalis collection. They all look so nice! 😊. Do you think the sausage looking one at 11:13 , could be a Sarcostemma variety like Sarcostemma vanlessenii?

@meinkanal4634 do they burst out at some point or do you need to manually take them out? 😆
@meinkanal46342 күн бұрын
@@mypetitegarden So if the berries are ripe you should be able to take them off the plant pretty easily and then give them a gentle squeeze so that the seeds come out. :) I put them on a paper towl and let them dry for a bit befor putting them into soil.

Hi Stacey, what a collection. I too love this genus and would’ve bought more if I had the space. Your teres looks a lot like a clavata or sausage-chain cactus but with bigger sausage like branches. Maybe it’s the same concept as the paradoxas minor and major?

Wow, Rhipsalis content! Wonderful. I have a Rhipsalis that was sold to me as Rhipsalis Teres, and it doesn't look much like yours. Mine just has long tubes, no segmentation. It came from Fantastic Gardens, at their Union Square stall. My R. Paradoxa got burned and "corked", as it was. too close to a grow light. I will have to trim off the healthy portions and root them. I plan to do this when spring comes. Looks like Fluval Stratum would be good for this. Thanks for another great video.

I believe the plant that you think is rhipsalis time stamp 11:08 is a leafless succulent plant called Cynanchum viminale subsp. australe Sarcostemma viminale from the region of Australia or maybe Africa. The plant has cylindrical, green stems that can grow into a shrub or a scandent vine. I'm not an expert but think it's a start to find interesting information about the plant and where it's native to.😊
@mypetitegardenКүн бұрын
Omg thank you so so so much!!! I finally have an identification on it and it's not even a rhipsalis!! Now I'm going to go read up on it 😆
@tanishabrown259521 сағат бұрын
@mypetitegarden I'm so glad I could help you with hopefully finding the right identification for your plant. It's pretty cool and definitely I can see it looking more like a rhipsalis due to its growth pattern. Maybe someone else out there might give you more information. Love your cozy home and how you have esthetically styled your plants with your decor choices creating a space that is stylish and comfortable. Lobe your videos and plant collection.
