I was fan of Paldea Evolved from day one, and the Magikarp was my favorite card from the set before release. Luckily I bought a few booster boxes at about $90-100 when it came out, and got a Magikarp PSA 10 and raw single over a year ago. It’s definitely primed to take off soon. Crown Zenith was always goated from the get go. I bought a bunch as MSRP on release because I knew it would be a good play… then it was printed into oblivion. I’m finally glad it’s starting to get some upward momentum. Definitely a “time in the market is better than trying time the market” type of investment/product for me. I think crown zenith is the best value. It will take ages but there is something historically happening in that set and there’s a lot going for it. Yeah it was printed into the ground, but long term it just looks so good. It’s my ticket to an electric mountain bike when I’m in my 50s. 😂

Its so fun to open and with good hits. The fact of that is it will always want to be opened. That's a recipe for disaster for the sealed boxes when they get opened non stop, even as the price rises tremendously.

This is good advice. I started collecting PAL a few months ago and am close to mastering it. I also managed to pick up one booster box as a sealed investment. Looking forward to seeing what it does in the next few years!

UK is almost out of Vivid Voltage ETBs with just 35 left on the Pokémon centre. US have around 300 LO and ST 2 pack blisters that only show when you search “blister”. I think those will be gone today once people realise they’re actually available. US is completely out of FS on first glance but again if you search blister there’s 2 pack blisters with FS and either vivid or battle styles. Not the greatest maybe but when FS booster boxes are 400 now and all the other FS has sold out they aren’t too bad. They’d probably be sold out by now if they showed up in search and people were aware

No, I don’t think it’ll be $1500AUD for too long …it’s a once in a generational set, the floor keeps rising and it wouldn’t surprise me if ES hits $2K AUD by June 2025, the sky is the limit for ES

Crown Zenith ETBs will be very expensive in the near (2-3 years) future. They are the best for investment from that set especially because it's much smaller (i.e. easier to store) than the Sam's club and or the premium collections products. Those are good but the ETBs (especially the PC version) are the best IMO.

Chase card -> Rip n Ship -> Printed a little less (maybe), no prints coming in -> Prices going up. Unless demand suddenly drops completely (which I do not expect at all considering that chase card) Fusion Strike will be at Evolving Skies levels by the end of 2025.

Don’t forget the KZbinrs mystery packs. I think Fusion,Chilling and Lost Origin will be chase packs soon instead of the regular packs.

I feel like investors are investing for investors, and re sellers are selling to resellers. The collector is hoarding, and the players are hurting. The average fan is lost, and parents are forced to spend top dollar just for their kid to get scammed. Sad state of affairs.

I'm so sick of this same whiny comment everywhere, what parent is even buying booster boxes for their damn stupid kids? I can't even imagine my parents blowing $200 like that for me as a kid even for Christmas or birthdays! There's plenty of cheap products for them to buy like single or sleeved boosters, 3 pack blisters, tins, promo boxes etc booster boxes are for people who earn their own money. When those kids grow up and earn their own money they can also buy booster boxes with it.

@ViolentRainbow it doesn't have to be booster boxes, another example is the etbs which were completely cleaned out since thanksgiving and resold on fb for double. It's not impossible to get packs for the kids, but it's dismal often the less popular sets being left behind. What a horrible mentality, only some people return to the hobby out of nostalgia and to have people treating a children's trading card game like a stock market sucks. It just sucks.
