I will order the future Outback if it have these: 2.4T mild hybrid power train + electronic suspension system + super quiet cabin.

I like it. I'm waiting for these to come out for sale and going to pick one up. I don't want a camera monitoring me while driving though.

Awesome! The 2025 forster will be on sale this Spring so it is not far off! The camera is a bit strange but the rest of the vehicle is a great package. Thanks for watching and have a great week :) -Jake

I think this looks better than the current design, which looks kind of soccer Mom style.

I’ve owned the 2011 Forester Premium, 2017 Forester Touring and planning to order the new 2025 Forester Touring. Love Eye Sight, truly extends wear of brakes, tires, and engine. Look forward to another naturally non turbo, non hybrid experience.

LMFAO 😂 eyesight has no affect on the wear and tear on brakes and tires longevity
@arvindn6384
@arvindn6384 2 ай бұрын
@goukenslay7555 Actually it does. Having owned 2 Forester, one with and one without Eyesight. With eyesight, I replaced my front brakes at 102k miles, my rear brakes at 78k. OE Tires changed at 78k. It may not be only Eyesight but how you drive you car, where you drive it. I drive all high way roads and some city. Maybe your experience is worse.

Thanks for the review so we can have an earlier understanding on the new "Re-design". But it's kind of disappoint that Eyesight X, digital cockpit/dashboard, HUD and some other features are still not available to Subaru, which it is already available on the other brands / level for a while.

Chjquest that’s a good point! HUDs used to be pretty gimmicky but now they have come so far it doesn’t make sense to leave them off of the Forester. Thanks for watching and have a great week :) -Jake

IMHO those plastic parts on fenders above the wheels make vehicles look cheaper and... kind of rugged children's toy cars. I also believe the black plastic will be facing decoloration on cars not parked in the garages in sunny states. Not everyone will be using Outback and Forester as "every weekend trial warriors" and that is why I'd like to see some trims looking more stylish and elegant.

I think you’re onto something- I had the same complaint for the Mazda CX-50 but it did not bother me on the Forester for the reason you mentioned- however, you make a good point that many people buying a Forester want that premium look, maybe some body colored panels could be an option on the touring trim?

When are Subaru going to bring back the best model of the Forester - the Forester Turbo XT model?
@ctclardy

I like the 2025 Forester and I think the Forester is the best compact auto on the road today... except... they need to offer more powertrains... their standard powertrain is too anemic for my likes... they could again offer the turbo as an option like they have in the past and then discontinued... and they could offer a hybrid with more horsepower and torque... if they did these things it would then be the perfect compact auto.
@GasGuzzlers

While I have not driven the 2025 Forester (yet) I did drive a 2022 Forester and agree with you. A hybrid would be really great considering the competition from Toyota Rav4 and Honda CR-V have had hybrid options for quite a while. I think Subaru should hire you as a consultant! In Japan Subaru offers a new 1.8 Turbo, it has more torque & better mpg than the 2.5 gas. I thought for sure we’d get it in this new Forester, wonder why? 🧐
@ctclardy
@ctclardy 3 ай бұрын
@@chrisb9478 Sabaru used to offer the 2.5 turbo here in the U.S. but, for some reason, they stopped... I wouldn't mind a 1.8 turbo if it had more power... at least 200 hp and 200 ft-lbs of torque... I'm not looking for a speedster, just something that will get me up the on-ramps and into traffic effortlessly and something that would allow me to pass on a 2-lane road without fearing whether or not I'm going to make it before a head-on collision.

@@goukenslay7555 First of all I'm definitely not your "buddy," I don't even know you, and second, if it is such a pain why do they offer it in one of their top sellers the Outback which has an excellent sales and reliability track record?... and, in the past, they offered it in the Forester... all I'm asking for is a choice.

instead of making useless air vents on the fenders, maybe subaru should have used that money to put in a complete wheel well liner instead of half assing it as usual

Not necc. a bad thing, Explorers aren't the worst looking SUV's, but I imagine a lot of subaru customers would get tripped up at the thought of driving something that looks like a cop patrol vehicle. I would guess most Subaru owners deliberately avoid Ford/domestic SUV's. I've always wondered if Subaru has some completely different design team working on the Forester somewhere on an island. It's the only car that never ever looks or feels like it's part of the Subaru design language, and it always looks worse. If Subaru was a family, Impreza and Outback would be talking behind Foresters back wondering if Forester was adopted or maybe mommy Ascent had a one night stand with an Explorer.

@Noah-hi3nm i think you are onto something- the Forester does seem like the odd one out but I’d imagine Subaru sells 2 Foresters for every outback. It’s the style people love!

Get those RIDICULOUS 19’ wheels off that car! I have 2019 Forester touring with 18” wheels that has a broken wheel mount. This needs more rubber on the road for all practical purposes and for less bling.

If you need a full-size outlet, stay home. Subaru messed up installing that large head unit in the Forrester because the one in the Outback is slow. Subaru should be embarrassed. Still no turbo engine so the Forrester is the Outback's immature sibling. How did we drive before all of these safety features? I'm not a fan of Subaru's "stop/start" feature that I disable with each start of my Outback since it won't default to the last setting (i.e. off). I'm not a fan of the power liftgate. I'm much faster than the mechanism that operates it. The good points: ground clearance & all-wheel drive & great visibility.
@GasGuzzlers
@GasGuzzlers 2 ай бұрын
I disagree on the full size outlet bit- that enables you to do things you would have done at home outside or on the go- i’ve used the outlet in my car to run or charge power tools in remote locations. We can drive without safety features but we also died a lot more- eyesight has personally saved my behind, not all accidents are avoidable by human reaction times (like a car running a read light infront of you). Power liftgate is a life saver when your hands are full BUT it should be hands free to ensure that it is useful in that manner. With you on the powertrain though- Subaru SUVs are in need of a larger powertrain and a traditional transmission. Thanks for watching and have a great week! -Jake

I always liked the Forester because of the low belt line, but other shortcomings are a problem. The iSight system is prone to failure and expensive re-calibration. and the new exterior colors are bland, also in the mid-west dealers only stock the ugly black interiors and dark exterior colors... no thanks..

The Forester’s visibility truly is top notch! That’s too bad to hear about dealer stock, hopefully some more brown/beige interiors become available soon. Thanks for watching and have a great week! -Jake

Looks good.... I DON"T like all the " ASSIST" crap.... I want to drive my own car. If someone is so STUPID as to drive when they're falling asleep or worse-drinking or otherwise not in full control of they capabilites- they need to be PUT OFF THE ROAD and lose their license PERIOD. I hate robotic interference.. I wish all makers would GET AWAY from the bigger wheels with 1/2 of rubber on them too--- that's just STUPID on any vehicle. It makes the ride rougher- the steering heavier, and much easier to get a flat - or if you clip a curb- ruin your tire AND wheel.

I HATE CVTs.... but- have to get over it-- all companies are going to that TRASH.. (and that's what they are... like it or NOT. -- but then- the boxer is a WEAK design too- but somehow the damn things run forever unless abused or something else goes wrong. Most of my dislikes for subaru are "feelings"-- based on nothing-- for instance they FEEL cheaply made to me- and hearing the boxer wind up to get on a freeway- sounds like it's going to fly apart!! (but I know tehy DON"T-- I use to SELL subaru- and I KNOW them to last and be GREAT vehicles)-- I just have a hard time getting past some of these things mentally.
