A WRX wagon with manual is absolutely a vehicle I would buy, no hesitation. It's THE Subaru I've wanted since I had my old 05 Outback XT manual. It would be perfect. Breaks my heart that they don't intend to bring it North.

Going to have to go to Mexico 🇲🇽 and bring one to the states! 😄 Hell yes, I want that manual WRX Sport Wagon..

It's insane there was a time we had such a nice looking hatch WRX. Still my favorite WRX lookwise.
@Flatline_WRX5 ай бұрын
YES. The hawkeye hatch was MINT!!!.

I don't want a hatch. And even the current sport wagon is awkward. The last WRX hatch we had was nice because it wasn't as big. The VB is the actually bigger than my old 01 legacy. And only slightly smaller than my 11 legacy GT. I do like the front and rear bumper though of the sport wagon though!

agreed on the bumpers. i think a shorter hatch it might look good.

6MT model, priced at $819,900 pesos, which is just over $48,500 at current exchange rates. Would love one, but not for that much. I bought my Base for $36k CAD. But if they offered one at a lower price point it's a no brainer for me. The 2008-2014 Hatch is my all time favourite WRX.
@Flatline_WRX5 ай бұрын
For sure it is more, BUT it is more car as well.

That's crazy! I'm in the southern part of the states and the 23s we're going for under 30k all last year. I picked my premium up for $26,999 brand new after tax was almost $30k I know I got a deal, but GD dude $36k for a base is actually theft! 🤣

@@thomasblanche9642 when I purchased mine they were scarce and many dealers were selling for over MSRP. Luckily my dealer was cool and sold for MSRP.

@ivanfajdetic26055 ай бұрын
@@thomasblanche9642 I failed to mention that it was $36k with tax. Without tax it was MSRP which came out to $33k CAD and that's about $24k USD.

I like the color matching on the rear bumper, but kinda feel like it is missing a little flair on the front without the darker plastic contrasts. Without the plastic cladding, I wouldn't recognize it was a VB from a glance
@Flatline_WRX5 ай бұрын
TRUE. i love the cladding as it stand out. but i also like the pained and such as it give a more "family" look if that makes sense
@WRooXter5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I actually like the cladding on mine. It's why I won't do color match.

As much as I'd love the wagon to be brought to the US, I'd much prefer Subaru do a proper wide body hot hatch. I also would be concerned about price if they bring to the US. I'm sure base MSRP would be pushing $40k+.
@Flatline_WRX5 ай бұрын
Yes! Totally agree. I would love a TRUE hatch like the Hawkeye STi. With that said more car = more cost lol.
@MikeG49365 ай бұрын
I would take a hatch, but honestly, I like this wagon better. More functional. Honestly, if it came to the USA, I would lay down cash for one IMMEDIATELY.
@Flatline_WRX5 ай бұрын
Yea it’s pretty sweet and if you need the functionality or you have lots of kids etc this would be a fun one for sure!
@thomasblanche96425 ай бұрын
If it's going to Mexico and it's confirmed than it's more than likely not coming to the States! Subaru already does black magic to get the WRX to meet the EPAs bare minimum... Adding 500lbs will make that feat impossible. This has already been released in Japan and Australia hasn't it? I saw an article about it a few years back a little bit after they revealed the VB WRX.

The wagon yes was over seas but ONLY in cvt. The Mexico version is the first with manual trans
