Think this a first for me you doing a motorhome :-) well done, 👍🏻 be good for you to look at coachman motorhomes, more expensive, but I think better quality.

Can't knock the Motorhome, it's the numpties who force doors open the wrong way,🤪. I think the extractors are fitted above the cooker, under cupboard, maybe the idiots who forced the door and worktop extension took it with them, people.😂. I would never knock a swift motorhome, all manufacturers have issues. Great short video Andy.😂👍

Thanks Conrad - it was at the Harrogate show so I reckon kids had been trying to force it open the wrong way - and yes all makers have issues - I held this video back thinking what a disaster it was but thought no I will put it up - its real life as they say!

It wasn't just the door. The pop-up counter top wasn't level closest to the wall either. Someone obviously didn't take their time in fitting that correctly and is probably not level. The dealer should ideally return that to Swift upon it being delivered to them. It is very unfortunate to see such shoddy workmanship and an utter lack of quality control on what gets to leave their factory. Swift should be ashamed that something so expensive even got to get out of the factory gates unnoticed. Whilst most likely an oversight, it regretfully screams contempt for the customer. it also doesn't say much for the dealer that allowed you to review a van they should know to be not a prime example.

This was at Harroagte show and proto's so first 2025 models not actual production examples - so I am sure as soon as show was over Swift would go through all display stuff and rectify any bits that clumsy hands had helped destroy!! Thanks for watching and comments

I can’t believe you were forcing the door the wrong way. You can tell it opens the other way by the shape of the catch. Clearly someone had done the same as you previously. Can’t blame the motorhome for that….

It was lke that when I looked at ti I thought somebody had sprianed badly to open the opposite way but I never forced it - it wouldnt open out at all so dont know what had happened it werent me gov honest!!!
@DaveStone00719 күн бұрын
@ Quite simply forced past the catch. Hopefully not damaged by stressing the wrong way. Should open inwards and away from you. Not towards you. Plenty of videos on KZbin showing this….

@@DaveStone007 it had been badly sprained the whole frame moved it would not open out - ironically it opened in a few inches the wrong way - pulling it as it should have been was like it was wedged - yes I do know how to open a door😆
@DaveStone00718 күн бұрын
@@caravanindustryexpertandyjenk Clearly not as you don’t pull that door. Only push to open into the bedroom/washroom area. If you look at the door catch, it will tell you that you were opening the wrong way. Clearly someone had already forced this beyond the catch by doing this forcefully. The door frame could and probably is damaged by someone doing this the wrong way. Please watch another video on this van and as with most the models in this range, if not all, it opens in the direction I mentioned and not towards the kitchen as you tried. It swings towards the shower and has a magnetic catch on the floor to hold it open if desired. You can clearly hear the door frame and hinges creaking as you pull the door towards you against door frame and hinges…..

Proto's so first pre production runs I am sure that would be put right but if any body abuses any working part that part will usually break!!
