2025 Toyota Camry XLE AWD: Did They Get it Right or Not?

Just bought one last month (8/15/2024). Mine is identical white but roof is white too. Love the all wheel drive. Runs great, handling is great. It replaces my 2006 Toyota Avalon Limited which had the same metalic white paint.

Good to know. I like that accessory, and I love head's up display. I had that on my BMW 2015 535d. I was insane to get rid of that one. 40 mpg, and never missed a beat.

Like all-hybrid. Harder acceleration from lower speeds is surprisingly gritty. Grilles look great. Upholstery on dash is a bit chintzy..this isn't a Malibu, same with rear door trim cheapy treatment. Huge option package kills the value proposition on this car. Panoramic sunroof and AWD not needed. I would stick with lightly optioned SE model or a base Prius..realize they are not directly comparable but I favor smaller car. At $40K plus, this is no longer family friendly from a cost standpoint. Nice car..no problem..perhaps a great car.. but not a value proposition!! Get me the base Prius w/o options in Guardian grey. Very good review, as always!

I bought this Camry with all of the goodies and not once did the word value enter my mind. I got what was on my short list and all of these decent autos are $42-$50k. Not everyone wants a value all of the time.

I bought the Camry SE Jun 19th 3 days later I hardly drive still only have 380 miles on it my brakes squeakng pads are chipped 😡 wireless charger overheating my phone so bad to where I cant make or receive calls for an hour. And I don't see much of a saving at the gas pump . Hybrid crap!..you would have to go full electric to see a real savings on gas!.. I wouldn't advise my enemy to buy this car

It’s not an HDMI port in the front. It’s a USB-C that connects to the multimedia system for playback.

Engineering background Toyota finally got it right with the Camry on the ninth generation by adding all wheel drive! I’m sure you’re gonna dip a little bit on that MPG you’re not going to get the 44 miles per gallon on the highway but I’m assuming you should still get in the mid 30s and you get a nice little horsepower bump from the engine I was looking at the ES 350 F sport performance and handling but if you want to just add one option like a mark Levingston audio you’re talking about $60,000 not bad for a midsize sedan under $40,000 with all wheel drive and a luxury model, which is the nowadays

Very nice review. I like so many things about this model. I like the styling inside and out. The all-digital display is fantastic and that touch-screen control panel is a game-changer as you said. My huge dislike is the interior of the back doors not being just like the front, that is an unnecessary slap in the face.

I ordered the same exact car with the light gray interior but front wheel drive. I never had a problem with front wheel drive Living here in new yorks hudson valley, where we do get snow.. It seems most are buying the all wheel drive. 🤷‍♂️

I would like to see Toyota come out with a Camry Limited trim level, more of an upscale entry level luxury model. It would bridge the gap between the discontinued Avalon and the Toyota Crown. Maybe wood grain paneling on the door and around the gear shifter, more soft touch material, any add Ons that come with a higher price for the XLE trim would be standard, more bells and whistles. Of course, the Camry Limited would come at a higher MRSP.

I think the next gen base hybrid ES will cost more than the current because they no longer have the LS in addition to the GS. The ES will need to grow in size and perhaps the features to pick up the slack.

I prefer to get the naturally aspirated internal combustion engine 2024 Camry LE for less than thirty thousand dollars. I also prefer the 8 speed automatic transmission over the electronic CVT transmission. Great Video!

They got it right. Awesome car in looks, features and performance. Who needs a Lexus when a well appointed Camry will do. Our previous Toyota was an Avalon that had everything a Lexus had for 7 grand less and was a wonderful vehicle. The car is more important than the badge, unless you're obsessed with labels.

I was tempted to get this car until I realize you have to pay about $3500 to get adequate speakers but hey they throw in things i don't want - 21" wheels or and a panoramic sunroof - never used my sunroof my last two cars 20 years. You want fries - no problem that will be additional $20. That's a lot for fries - Oh we include beats and anchovies and artichokes though. I don't want those - can I just get the fries - NOPE!

Actually the front grill reminds me of my 2020 Avalon hybrid. It’s aggressive but also a callback to some older, elegant cars. I wouldn’t buy it if it wasn’t a hybrid. I love getting 46 mpg on the roads.

The xse has higher cost for different more firm suspension? Being more of an enthusiast driver i think ill have to choose XSE. I wont miss this memory seat option. Id prefer these smaller 18" wheels due to potholes in NYC however. I dont mind this grill at all. Lexus type design looks fancier than before to me, so if anything lexus need to update on Their end to differentiate. This front end looks better than the outgoing so im happy with it.

The SEL and SE have a sport suspension. For maximum comfort the LE has 17 inch tires,also the cheapest option.

The SE and XLE have 18" wheels instead of the 19" on the XSE. But the LE has 16" which is best for potholes and comfort.

Toyota makes a superior product and I don't believe this one will be any different. I would prefer the 8-speed tranny over the ECVT, but that's just me. CVTs are hit or miss type deals, If you ask me. I would've liked to see the V6 as an option on the 25' model and I also believe Honda made a big mistake getting rid of the 2.0T for the Accord. That was an outstanding engine, man. I think the Camry will do just fine, even in its CVT guise. I own a 2012 and I bought it brand new with 1 mile on the odometer. I just had the alternator changed out for the 1st time in the 12 years that I've owned the car and the A/C still runs Artic Cold. I've never even had to charge it up. Not even once. It's the same as when I purchased it. I usually average around 25 - 28 mpg. This car has stood up to Atlanta traffic for 12 years and she still has more fight left in her. A lot...Hopefully. Enjoyed the review.

You’re actually incorrect in saying the XSE is the top trim the trims are just different they’re both the top and trim just is merely one with more sporty angle in the other with the luxury bit that you’re driving in fact you can get more options on the XLe then you can access it. Yes the price is a bit higher on the XSE due to the suspension changes. Also that’s not Alexis design language on the front and there is no hammerhead Lexus as Toyota does the name is more of a copy of the Prius. As far as if you’re looking for Lexus grill. So just a polite correction my friend great review

Too bad about the replacement of the eight speed automatic transmission. Crappy interior. Cheap carpet. Poor interior lighting as usual. Many hard hard plastic surfaces. They don't understand real luxury. Why do I have to subscribe to look at the map? Armrests are thin. Knees bounce off of hard surfaces. A mesmerizing array of cheapness. Miss the base 2.5L with eight speed automatic transmission. Good fuel economy for a large vehicle. Shitty looking dashboard. Back seat accommodation is even cheaper feeling. Big trunk. The salesman will talk your ear off to get you over the sticker shock. Driving on a smooth road tells you nothing about the suspension. Interior colour = rhinoceros. Noisey engine with open throttle. P.S. my E39 530i gets 34mpg @ 65mph.
